Still probably an easier sell to the family to have 85% of games driving distance.Who’s to say that Wilcher won’t be joining his “bro” at Nebraska next season. It’s obvious who had the better experience this season.

Most of the worst criticism in the last 24 hours was not about results but about lack of accountability and in particular throwing players under the bus by name which criticism I believe was completely justified. Before the season started, I posted about wondering when the first posts blaming Pitino would make it to the board. I'm not counting the posters who criticized Pitino early on for chasing some players to other programs. That was a given, like stating Haku is the most legit bad ass pro wrestler ever. Which is funny since he had a terrible record in pay per views. Like us in national TV games.
While there was scattered negative chatter about Pitino along the way, the brunt of the blame happened last night. Is that even before Norm, Mullin, CMA and Lavin? If so, who would have thought that possible? That's what you get when you tell the media at your first presser that turning around the program at St. John's will be easy. He should have asked any of us first. We would have set him straight.
Yes, and then he went two straight losing games without getting off the bench.I'm pretty sure Pitino stated that Wilcher will be a starter next year in one of his recent press conferences.
At Louisville in 2006-07 after a loss to rival Kentucky at home. I was at that game, and fans were not happy. Fan morale had been low after an abysmal rebuilding year that followed a Final Four run in 2005. They were ready for the typical Rick turnaround, but that fresh new season got off to a disappointing 5-4 start, and losing so one-sided to Kentucky was salt in a reopened wound. It was very rare to hear Louisville booed inside Freedom Hall. But, it happened that day.Honest question…when was the last time a Pitino coached team was booed off the court?
There was plenty of criticism about results. Blowing of big leads. Poor substitution patterns. Poor scouting of transfers. Burying the underclassmen on the bench instead of thinking about keeping them out of the portal. Not knocking anyone for voicing their opinions, whether it was for in game coaching or post game mouthing off to the press. My take is that you win as a team, and lose as a team. That includes the coach. For Pitino to place himself above the players is part of why NIL exists. Coaches make millions yet don't take a charge or tear an ACL that can end careers. The players get a scholarship. Well, that was in theory at least. It's not that Pitino isn't right about the team's deficiencies. But as the saying goes, a good craftsman never blames his tools. Most of the worst criticism in the last 24 hours was not about results but about lack of accountability and in particular throwing players under the bus by name which criticism I believe was completely justified.
Love seeing posters try to justify it by saying these kids are professionals/employees and just like in corporate America if you don't perform you get called out. I spent 42 years in corporate America; I never saw or heard of a decent manager call out employees by name publicly for failure to perform or lack of talent - that is done in private as it should be.
Any coach that makes a final 4 here gets a 10 year reprieve from getting booed for anythingAt Louisville in 2006-07 after a loss to rival Kentucky at home. If you take anything Pitino says seriously then I have a bridge in Queens to sell you.I'm pretty sure Pitino stated that Wilcher will be a starter next year in one of his recent press conferences.
Notice, he made moProbably by bringing his brother in because I think we'll be looking to fill 10 spots again.
Plus dad is a longtime fan and I think they give it another season.
I think he means it, but unless I missed a second time mentioning starting, he never said starting point guard, just a starter. If you take anything Pitino says seriously then I have a bridge in Queens to sell you.
Maybe sometimes he means stuff at the time he says it but its reliability has a shorter shelf life than Italian ices in the microwave
Did he say for which school?I think he means it, but unless I missed a second time mentioning starting, he never said starting point guard, just a starter.
What I can't believe is that he thought he might be an NBA playerCan't believe Dingle gave up a UPenn diploma for this
Do you truly believe there's even a 0.0001 chance of that?Who’s to say that Wilcher won’t be joining his “bro” at Nebraska next season. It’s obvious who had the better experience this season.
Even worse a lot of us believed it too. I recall the panic as we waited for him to withdraw from the draftWhat I can't believe is that he thought he might be an NBA player
No knock on Seton Hall, but they didn't take the game from us, we handed the game to them. And it started in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half. All the hall needed to do was stick to their game plan, hit some shots and watch us unravel. While that is a problem I see, it is not applicable here. There was absolutely noting wrong with the effort from Seton Hall in the second half. They played like a pack of hungry dogs.
Don't get me started or you'll have a new winner, and I got 2 kids who are part of this generation. Except I ain't one of those parents.Oh God, there you have it folks. The most boomer take you'll read all day. Shut down the contest, we have a winner.
Come on man. LOL
People still drinking the Luis Kool Aid.Is it me? More than one poster has said that “it is obvious that Luis is a very talented player“. Not so obvious to me apparently.
