Seton Hall (UBS), Sun., Feb. 18, 5p, FS-1

Most likely another loss coming up. Seton Hall is a better team than us and I am not sure why anyone would think that will change on Sunday.

Are we still doing the "This is the game Dingle is breaking out" stuff?
If you think it's a loss already why play lol. Sorry but all it takes is one game to start a streak

St John's absolutely has more talent and more depth than Seton Hall. The two secrets to Seton Hall's success are that Kadary Richmond makes everything happen for them and Holloway does a brilliant job of using the other (mediocre) pieces he has to full advantage (i.e. plays to their strengths, hides their weaknesses, something our staff could maybe learn from) and getting his team to play like junkyard dogs who haven't eaten in a week at all times.

It's a must-win game for St. John's. Richmond will do what he does, unless Pitino remembers that Glen Taylor is a guy who makes your team better and plays him to defend Richmond (instead of what I think he WILL do, which is deploy Luis for that which will result in him fouling out). The key is that SJU has to want the game as much as Seton Hall does (because they want EVERY game) and the ball has to move to the best matchup instead of forcing certain ones. Oh, and feed Soriano, they have nobody who can contend with him if St John's decides to focus on feeding the post.

Unfortuately, or fortunately, this is another game that I won't be able to watch at home in real time. Scoreboard watching again.

I actually got to watch the second half of the Friars game with my friend who did drink my beer. Wish I hadn't!

I feel like the best SJU games take place directly after I emotionally start to distance myself from the team.

After the Providence game I felt in my bones that this season was over. Most games, I come away with a silver lining, something that keeps me looking forward to the next one. Not after the Prov game.

Expect a spirited 84-71 St. John's victory in this one. SJU won't let me off the hook this easy. They'll rope me in one more time before slitting my throat with a 1 point BET loss. That's the SJU way.
