@Seton Hall, Sat., Dec. 31, Noon, FS-1

Would like them to hire Walter Berry, going to stink regardless but I could never be mad at Walter Berry
Walter Berry is a St John’s icon in my
Book. He’s a big part of the Glory days of our legacy . I know you mean no disrespect to The Truth but , even mentioning his name in any post about this Team is heresy . Walter played at a level that few on this team could dream about .

The sad thing about this game is that Jones and Soriano both had excellent games (offensively). But for the past three years, as stats have always bore out, the defensive side of the ball is non existent.

Gotta feel for Posh but he needs to figure this out. 1-6 and missed open layups just can’t cut it.

Wow! An embarrassment against a team that is not good (neither are we) and for which we should have easily been able to game plan. In the 1st 3 years, we could always depend on effort and grit. . . This team is showing none and is just allowed to run up and down taking poor shots, compounded by a total lack of effort and accountability on defense…hate to say it but this team looks like they are about say “no mas”….

Coaches and Players need to look in mirror and ask themselves if they are “all in”

Things to look forward to the rest of the season

1. Seeing my 114 friends
2. Beer at Carnesseca
3. Beer at MSG
Even the beer might not get me back to CA this year. The dreadful product plus the horrible new cushioned seat may be too much for a return.

Coached HS basketball for over 30 yrs and in the past avoided criticizing our past coaches. However this situation is dire.I've sent an email to our AD and I encourage everyone who is unsatisfied with the current situation to do the same. Unfortunately this team has quit on the season already
I agree. The only coach I ever openly criticized and wanted gone was Jarvis. I will critique a coach's in-game decisions, but grant him the right to make those decisions. Anderson seems to have made many bad coaching decisions this season, but as long as he is coach I will support him and the team. Having said that they are completely unwatchable. That is the fault of the coach and the players.

Gladly, by rookie coach I meant rookie in the Big East and as a D1 major not mid major coach. Obviously not an actual rookie but you knew what I meant.
He was an assistant at Seton Hall. He played in the Big East. You are making him sound like a deer in the headlights coach even though what he did last March was one of the most impressive coaching jobs in a long, long time. CMA hasn't needed anyone to help him look bad by repeating over and over again that he's lost to a "rookie coach." He's been doing that on his own lately.

I have no idea how the SJU selection process works but it is very clear it is a total failure. After thirty years of incompetence it is time to change the procedure. As obvious as it is that Anderson is not the man for the job it is more obvious that SJU is incapable of raising the sinking ship.
Perhaps an outside search firm should be hired to make a recommendation but anything but the old guard. Not only do we have a coach who is way over his head in the big east but he will walk out with an extension. You can’t make this up.

It might be a sign of the Times for Redmen BB but , Tarik Turner has abandoned us and is doing the Marquette - Villanova game .

I’ve been a fan for too long but the school has let me down with lousy hires and settling for mediocrity. To say that I am enjoying watching a Nova Marquette game more then a Johnnie game is just pathetic. Maybe not having a stake in watching games is the way to go, better for the blood pressure.

I have been an Anderson supporter all the way this far, but this pathetic no-show embarrassment today makes me believe he needs to go. And I find myself supporting the notion of Pitino, which is shocking given how I felt the last time. I mean, at this point he has no baggage at all - according to the NCAA. So why would we hesitate to pull the trigger?

My optimism hopes that this is the only blowout performance they'll have this year, with somehow bouncing back against Marquette and at providence to get to 3-3. That said, I'm not really looking forward to actually being at the next 2 games.
