Better be careful, "progresses" sounds an awful lot like "progressives". 😂😂😂😂Gotta laugh or we're gonna cry.
I think I see your point now and luckily I am not a political person and hate all politicians but it does say alot about how words are interpreted arbitrarily by those who are political.

He doesn't seem to be playing with the same joy and enthusiasm that always made him such a pleasure to watch.
That's because the new guys like Curbelo and Jones demand a lot of the ball and Posh seems to be playing off the ball a lot. He seems distracted and out of sorts. Last years team, on paper had less talent, but had great chemistry. This years team, on paper, has more talent but very little chemistry.

As one who is presently infected with Covid and unwittingly gave it to my entire family for Christmas, I can tell you that loss of taste and smell is no longer a common symptom. Get that test and isolate from your family if you test positive. Feel better!
Thank you Boo. I got my daughter to give me the test kit, and will test soon. Hate to get off topic, but were you prescribed anything or is it bed rest,a fever reducer and stay hydrated?

Hurley was the answer, but to this day I don’t know why we did not offer?
My recollection is he said no thanks.

If you aren't a political person, then don't use political verbiage.

I’m 46 and didn’t take anything other than over the counter medicine. I came down with it the day after a Christmas and ran a little fever the first night. I had a cough the first couple of days but it’s mostly just a head cold. I’m feeling better now. We got paxlovid for my mother-in-law and uncle who are older. Stuff worked like a charm and they’re both near perfect. I know it’s common to suffer a rebound with paxlovid but so far so good. In short, Covid isn’t fun but if you’re in good health it shouldn’t be much different than a bad cold or mild flu. Will keep you in my prayers but I know you’ll be fine

As for bed rest, I would play it by ear and see how much strength you have. Other than the first day, I wasn’t particularly weak but I have friends who were knocked out for days. Out of respect for others, we’ve quarantined but I was taking walks outside by day three. In the olden days I wouldn’t have missed more than a day of work although I definitely still have pretty good cold symptoms

Thanks so much. I'm mid 60s but in OK health other then the usual stuff for the 65 and up crowd. My daughter was sick earlier this week and there is a bug going around at her work, so hopefully it's just that. Glad to hear that you are doing better, and that the Paxlovid worked well for your uncle and mother in law.

i actually shut off the game at the 5 minute mark. That's unheard of for me. Watching the team put in a non effort wasn't helping my mood. As for the 3 conference losses, the lack of size in the front court is being exploited. While Mathis and Jones are good athletes, the conference is filled with good athletes. There is a simple formula to beat us, and everyone with the right personnel will use it.

SHU had not scored more than 70 points since they beat Wagner. They are an offensively challenged team to say the least.

They trailed 23-13 with 9:43 left in 1st half. So that means they scored 75 points in less than 30 minutes.

To me that shows that SJU essentially quit playing at some point.

Sure looks to me like Posh is tuned out to his coach, which is very disappointing whatever you might think of CMA.
I think we’re judging a lot from snippets we saw from the huddles of a single game. Posh is really struggling and has clearly lost his confidence. As much as we on this site are all fanatics for the game, basketball is everything for these kids. I imagine this stretch must be very difficult for Posh. Kid os clearly a hard worker who was expecting a big season and it’s not panning out. Who knows what else he has going on his life.

Boo, I’m as big a Posh fan as anyone and my comment was not based on snippets from the Xavier game. There’s a reason he sat for much of the second half and I couldn’t blame CMA. Hope he gets back to being the player he can be, but can’t blame it all on Curbelo fit. Again, I am a huge Posh fan, but he is not looking like he is engaged right now.

It’s so easy to defend us when we aren’t turning teams over. Other teams will live with Posh, Curbelo, Wusu, Mathis shooting from the outside and pack the paint to make them drive. We are going nowhere without someone to spread the floor. It feels like if we lose whatever shooters we have, they will thrive in another program. This system is flawed

I sense it has to do with you saying "woke."
Yes, I now gather that but it is a term that's been around for decades but is most prevalent on college campuses during the past few years. I don't think it is a political term but a socially conscious term that is now part of the vernacular and has been politically hijacked by left leaning activists.

Maybe you didn't get the two warnings you received? You are not welcome to come back for more.

Another Frustrating loss. So here's another therapy session...but it's going to take an exorcist not a shrink to fix the problem that is St. John's basketball.
