Rysheed Jordan

Big grab by Coach Lavin and the staff. I can't believe anyone would ever doubt him on the recruiting end...just plain silly.
Let's keep the expectations reasonable for the youngin. As good as he can be, freshmen take time. Nice addition, though, as we really need more kids that can create.

I don't see Dom deserving much more than 10 min/game, let alone starting. His lack of size, shooting ability put him behind Sampson, Sanchez, Obepka, and Gift. I see him fighting Jones for minutes off the bench. I would actually love seeing him in such a role to provide a spark and give the big guys a breather.

Um no.

Dom's game will actually be more benficial now with Jordan coming. Dom does a lot of little things, and does not need the ball. He plays defends, rebounds, and gets after it. Following Garrett's transfer, he becomes our lone lunchpail guy. Not to mention, he is total team player, who does not complain about his shots, just the team's results.

Dom was our most consistent 3-point shooter once D'Angelo was suspended. And he is one of the best perimeter defenders in the conference.

If Dom puts in the work over the Spring/Summer, he will be scary.

Numbers game says he won't start. But he will be first off the bench and I can see him finishing games because of his defense alone.

They played the Mc D game already. Cant wait till the 11th. I'm so in a rush to get to that day that I wished my girl happy bday this am, she said its not my bday i said its the 10th right she said yup which is tomorrow. My next thought wssnt I messed up it was I have to wait anothet day lol.

When Dom “plays defense and gets after it,” he pressures the PG around half court and either gets burned or makes a foul away from the basket. There were several examples of this, the most egregious at San Francisco when he was lucky to not be ejected. Just because he hustles and gets in people’s faces doesn’t make him a starter in a major conference. Gift is a stronger rebounder, the scouting report says Sanchez is, and as Sampson fills out, he projects to be also.

Yea, no shot of that happening. Dom is a starter from day 1. Is his defense a little overrated, maybe.
But saying he does t have the size of Gift or Obekpa isn't exactly an insult....he's a shooting guard/ small forward. He's not competing with them for playing time.
Doms best attribute is he's efficient. He gets his 10 pts by taking 4 shots. And he was a much improved shooter both from the line and from 3. Also, he led the team in assists this year.

I would be shocked if he's not our starting small forward, and playing with Sampson and Sanchez. If Dangelo is back, that's your sg, and then there's just a question of who Lavin goes with among Branch, Greene, and Jordan.

And chances are all 3 will play decent minutes.

Can anyone who has seen him play describe his game- is he a pass first PG- or can he shoot the rock also? Anyone who saw the game last night saw how important a PG is ....Burke and Siva were outstanding.

This is a joke, right? Dom is the emotional leader on this team and I'm expecting him to take a major step forward in his junior and senior years

You should try watching a game once in awhile

I'm not celebrating until I see the LOI
