Props to Lavin for somehow gettin' this kid to start maturing this past year. He seemed like a different man after that li'l AWOL incident. This kid's patience hopefully will be rewarded, and hope he buys in like a junkie everything he can get from our new hall of fame coach. Imagine an NBA GM selling your game to his connects next spring? Step up even more, and avoid Philly outside of the Mummurs Parade and the Wing Bowl.
And as a player, I keep saying that he is just beginning to show what he is capable of. Sheesh, team ain't lookin' so bad next year after all huh? What a two week period this has been!

"Now that the Johnnies have Jordan and Chris Obekpa returning, Mullin and his staff will move forward with the recruitment of Louisiana guard Brandon Sampson, who could form a potent, athletic starting backcourt with Jordan, and Cheick Diallo, who was the MVP of the McDonald's All-American Game."
Has Obekpa been confirmed anywhere else as returning or is there an assumption that because he was at Mullin's press conference he's onboard for the upcoming season?

He said he was coming back a while ago. Then his old asst coach at OSNA said he wasn't sure. Some gave the coach more credence than the actual person, which is kind of the problem with the readers of these boards in general, not understanding who's in the know and who just doesn't know.

I love that you can't take a night off at the moment without something good happening. Came straight home from track meet and crashed. Wake up to this and Paultzman's crystal ball avatar changed to Sampson (I think). Next track meet is Thursday night so I am looking forward to Friday morning now
