Since you asked, I can tell you that I was told by someone that he has been "MIA" and hasn't been responsive to new staff texts, etc. I want to be clear, I cannot verify this, I don't know if it's true so I am going reserve judgment. If it's true, well I think we all know what it means.

If he stops attending classes & fails to complete the semester, that will adversely effect the SJU APR score, which was not great to begin with. Thankfully the seniors will all graduate. We'll see soon enough what his intentions are.

If in fact he's not responding to the new staff reaching out to him, enough reason to say good riddance. At least have some respect for the greatest player to come out of SJU who's in charge now. Don't like the way he and Obekpa have handled their situations the least bit.

Neither kid has proven to be the "salt of the earth" during their time at SJU

Good. I hope it's true. For his sake. He can clean up his game and polish his skills - improving his chances for professional play down the road. Also gets closer to his degree.

I really liked his demeanor on the court toward the 2nd half of the season.
 
Great to see that common sense has prevailed. Sheed makes us a much better team next season. And for him to spend a season under our new staff's guidance can only help him move closer to a real NBA payday down the road.

Great to have Rysheed play another year. There were times in the Duke came this past January where he was unstoppable.
