Roll Call For Charlotte

Mr Google was right.

I talked to Paul Sclafani @ the SJU Athletic Office today:

1. They have 125 places at the RW reception and as of 5pm had sold 100. I did not buy and he did not recommend showing up without a ticket... so we will pass on going to the Crowne Plaza

2. SJU has tickets available for $100 each in Section 115. I could be wrong but I think this is behind the bench. I plan on buying a pair of these tix tomorrow and selling the ones I bought in Section 231 (face value $71 each). PM me if interested, otherwise they are going on Stubhub.

And Happy St. Paddy's Day.

Good info, I'm in 116 which is the corner and 115 is basically the baseline which would line up behind the bench if we are on that side.

Also the Charlotte police station is across from the stadium. Don't pee on the police station or they will arrest you.
Talking from experience? :)

Not first hand, but my friends had an attorney named Ben Franklin on retainer.

For those not making the trip- any place to watch ? I'm thinking about Stouts but not sure what the atmosphere is like on a Friday night for a NCAA game.

I'm open to anywhere in Qnz Brooklyn or the city.

Let me know if anyone has suggestions or would like to share their plans

I always thought the higher seeded teams get seats behind the benches. We're one of the two lower ones so we may be opposite ours; guess I'll see that Friday. But I do plan on going to the open practice on Thursday at 6:20 or so; that will be when I can see where we sit.

I have "upgraded" to Section 115. Any suggestions where to gather pre and post-game?

As if I wasn't already excited for this trip, I just realized the Rangers are playing the Hurricanes in Raleigh Saturday night. About a 2 hour trek I believe. Now we have our Saturday plans B)

Hope to meet up with some of you after the WIN on Friday!

Thanks GMan.

5 Church: Hip, loftlike steakhouse with a buzzing vibe & upscale decor, featuring a full bar & weekend brunch.

Connollys: Traditional Irish pub with a sprawling outdoor patio, live music, sports TV & ping pong.

I think the Irishman in me would be better suited to the latter.

Gman gave a couple of ideas and a friend of mine who lives in charlotte is texting me some places tomorrow morning. We will figure it out tomorrow and can put it on a new thread

Lots of places in the city to meet up before and after the game. The one's who are there early Friday probably can meet up somewhere, if possible.

How's the strip club scene in Charlotte? Asking for a friend...

Haaa the old asking for a friend line :)

Well the car we got going down to Charlotte is me, Sleeveless guy, and Elijah Ingram and Grady Reynolds so maybe I am actually asking for a friend.

Ha! I've actually been in a car with Grady before (and Showtime). I hope you have more fun than I did.
