RJ Luis

What is not to love about RJ in the postgame interviews. They are a clear demonstration of his maturity through his 2 years with "Coach P". Not only does Rick increase the players' basketball skills; he also increases their interpersonal skills in dealing with the media.

Up to #37 in nbadraft.net consensus.

He needs to come back next year so Rick can continue to groom him for the NBA. What I really mean: He needs to come back next year so we can continue to kick as-. :)

i think RJ has shown enough for a team to give him a "guarantee" whether it be the 1st or 2nd round...

Enjoy these last couple games of his- cause he's gone

He's still not on a reputable updated NBA mock draft (nbadraft.net is not legit, despite how much I went on it as a kid lol).

I think it can flip very quickly, and do think teams are underestimating him. If he impresses a team or two in the workout, I wouldn't be surprised at all. But there's also a ton of high level European prospects that I have literally no information of that are continuing to pop up.

Since the turn of the calendar year, in 18 games: 18-1 record, 19.9ppg/8 rebounds/1.6 assist/1.3 steal. 43% FG, 36% from 3pt on 4 attempts, 76% FT on 5.5 attempts. 2.6 turnovers

Right now there’s a better chance he’s not going to get drafted than he is with his shooting percentage.

It’s mind blowing to me (and had this same conversation with a random fellow johnnies fan at a game) that RJ isn’t at least a late first round pick. He has the size, athleticism and is great around the rim. His mid range and long range shot have come so far this year. As a pro I think he has the upside of an all star player.

I hope he stays another season for us, St. John's fans, and for his body to get stronger and more filled in. RJ mentioned that one of his problems last season was a hairline crack in his leg bone.
