Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

It was obvious that Posh was not only ineffective playing 2nd fiddle(to Curbelo), but he was also very unhappy. Is he willing to accept a similar or lesser role next season? Guess we'll soon find out.
 
My wish for us is that as fans we stop having to hate Yukon because we aren’t close to as good. I’d rather hate them as a peer. I think we are heading that direction. Until them, let them win it. Go Big East! You’re paying off Anderson’s contract!

I'm really looking forward to the day that us vs. uconn is a battle of 2 top 5 teams, I know it's coming but maybe not next year.
Then we can go punch for punch with them in every game.

Why would he be playing mind games w/ Posh? You guys say hes all heart, hes the leader of the team, hes a gym rat, he hustles more then anyone etc etc etc.

If that is true, you would put him in the category w/ Joel and Drissa. You wouldnt play mind games w/him.

What St Johns fans think about Posh and what Pitino has been told about Posh is 2 totally different things.

Ill go with what people in the program have told Pitino rather then what fans think because they watch someone on tv.

In general you dont think coaches play mind games with players ? I'm assuming you are too young to remember Bill Parcells

It doesn’t matter what us guys think of Posh or other members of the team. They need to prove themselves to Rick Pitino and have a limited time to do so.

In my opinion (which means nothing) if Coach already told them he didn’t want them back they would already be in the portal.

Yes they might still transfer. But Coach might have given them a strict workout, diet, whatever and said let’s see how you like things I demand from my players. If you buy in let’s go, but trust me you are on a short leash.

I get the fact some are having fun speculating on the roster for next year but only the coaching staff and players are privy to that information currently. We as fans will find out soon.

I think it’s pretty simple. Posh has to commit to winning. Winning is the most important thing. Pitino wants guys that are all in. Nothing else matters. His playing time doesn’t matter nor do personal stats. I’m not around the team so I have no idea about his attitude or his character. However if Pitino doesn’t think they are conducive to winning then he probably won’t be here.

He put Joel and Drissa in category 1.

He put everyone else on the roster in category 2.

Why does anyone think a kid in category 2 will be on this team? If he liked any of those kids, he would have mentioned them w/ Joel and Drissa.

I think Storr falls into his own category of being young and impressionable. He has only been w/ the program for 8 months so not much to go on.

Guys who are supposedly leaders and have been here for 3 years are the issue. Them not being put in the category w/ Joel and Drissa speaks volumes.
