Jones is the antithesis of a Pitino player. I can’t stand that style of play from a combo forward. The only way he makes it under Pitino is if he puts on weight and becomes an undersized 4.More important than what does Pitino feel about Posh is what does Pitino feel about Jones. Jones has much more upside than Posh If he can control his talent.
He’s a very good spot-up shooter so you want to get him plenty of looks off the ball. I think Pitino would want to use him as the 1(b) point guard. I do think Clayton has NBA potential if he can grow as a PG, but Pitino will have play alongside a jet-quick 1(a) point guard whether that is Posh or someone from outside the current roster.Thought he was a combo with fair amount of time at PG ? What would he play here ?
…..One guy was from Kentucky and their fanbase thought that they were going to get Pitino back!
Maybe we can lend Kentucky the playbook on how to fire a coach for cause without cause. Not sure that Coach Cal is going any place too soon. His contract runs through June 30, 2029 with a substantial buy out for termination without cause.
If he's the reason Texas has taken so long on a Terry decision, they can afford it.Not sure that Coach Cal is going any place too soon. His contract runs through June 30, 2029 with a substantial buy out for termination without cause.
I think the speculation is way more about him leaving than school moving on from him.one thing I find interesting about all the smoke about coach cal leaving Kentucky is the fact that he has 3 of the top 4 recruits in the Nation committed to UK this year
Why turn away from him when he just got his best recruiting class in several years. I get his recruiting classes are normally top level but this one is absurd
Dick Weiss has been wearing the same wig for 30 years!Gotta love it!!
I think that we're all a little impatient for a little news. Any news about our newly resuscitated program would be great. I still feel like a child on Christmas Eve.For the few that are panicking, trust the process.
Saying goodbye to players we rooted for is always tough. We are in a new era now with a proven winner. Better times are ahead.
Not panicking, but I don't think it is a given that we will get 8-9 guys that are a clear upgrade over the guys that are leaving. We really have 1 player right now. I don't expect Traore to be a significant rotation piece. Also don't expect a team that will hoist a bunch of 3's. He has not had a team that is top 100 in percentage of shots from 3 since 2011, and several have not been in the top 250. That is not Pitino's style. His teams excel at D (only 1 of his last 10 Louisville teams was not top 10 nationally in adjusted D at Kenpom). They also generally excel at OR%. Other than that he seems to adjust to his teams strengths (which is great). For the few that are panicking, trust the process.
