Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

My last post in awhile but i think this is an important one.
Adam is an a**hole. He is not fair to the kids, is not accurate in a majority of his reporting and is not a serious person. TRUST me when i say this was out of context. EVERY player wants to go pro and move on to the league. This was an idiotic statement

re: Kadary's jumper

Pitino promised to help Richmond re-make his awkward jump shot to help his NBA prospects, but the coach said Richmond has “refused” to change his form.

“We changed it in our workouts, but he won’t do it in the games,” Pitino said. “He just refuses to do it; he keeps reverting back. I show him on tape. There’s no hitch at all. It looks beautiful. I show it to him. He said, ‘Yeah, that looks great.’ And then he goes back to his old way.

“And there’s only one way to change a jump; you you got to spend hours upon hours after you leave. It’s just not something that’s going to change without hours upon hours upon hours of work. You see Steph Curry out there still working on his handle, still working on the shot, and he’s the greatest shooter in the history of the game. It takes a lot of work to change anything. You change your body, change your game, change your skill. Takes a lot of work.”
May be way off, but continuing to work on change mechanics in season on something like this sounds horrible if refusing to do it in games. Could be making his in game shooting exponentially worse if he's not practicing his in game hitch.

I sense as noted above there will be some local solid players looking to return home after completing their freshman year.
Will preface this by saying I have not heard anything about what the kid is up to or what his personal problems actually were. And I'm not even sure I would call this speculation on my part BUT I would like to point out that Dwayne Pierce is the type of kid Iowa State-era Matt would have looked to bring in . . .

Him and Andy Martino the biggest jokes when it comes to reporting in this town. Nobody likes either both should be jizz moppers at Go Go Rama in Bayonne.

Who knows but both his midrange and free throws have looked better lately. He does not need to be taking threes imho.

If he is quoting Pitino out of context then as MugConstanza says, his access to anyone associated with the Johnnie’s team should be revoked immediately and permanently.

"RJ is going to try to go pro,” Pitino said on Friday as St. John’s prepared to face Seton Hall Saturday night. “They’re all going to try to make it and move on. And that’s the nature of the business.”

Pitino was initially asked if it was possible that Deivon Smith could return next year, because he sat out a portion of last season as he waited for his eligibility to be approved as a multiple-time transfer."

Seems more just Rick being Rick than any nefarious thing with Zags.

Coaching up an unheralded mid major, or a kid who didn't get enough love from Kansas to have Rick talking nba is candy for recruiting and portal purposes.

Is there any question after signing K(h)adary [I can't help it if he spells his name wrong], Smith, and Aaron that Rick and staff are evaluating opponents best players for potential fit on our 25-26 roster.
