Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

Our whipping boy is our whipping boy though. The second someone on another team mocks a flaw he deserves a well-placed elbow the next time we play them.

Not suggesting I’m not grateful for everything Repole has done and continues to do, but a little scary that one alumn has so much influence and power.
Definitely strings.

Nearly every big donor wants influence in one way or another. All trustees, most commencement speakers, etc want positions of influence in return for their donations, and are granted it in accordance with thie gifts.

I think most of us realize that Rick and his staff assembled a very strong transfer class. Heck, it's at or near the top of almost every ranked list.

That said, I also want to commend the staff for their retention efforts. I would imagine that RJ Luis, Zuby, Wilcher and Dunlap were kids we wanted to stay. Yet, aside from some brief speculation pertaining to Luis, these kids were quickly and definitively signed on for next year.

I just feel that retention is equally as important and, when done well, can be taken for granted.

Totally agree

Luis was only speculated on by fans here. He was always all in. He loves Pitino and St. John's, and as importantly, so does his dad. Luis has a strong Christian faith, also making a Catholic school right for him.

Relationships within this group of returnees is particularly tight. Zuby and Luis are close roomies. Wilch and Brady have each other's backs as close friends.

Nice core to augment with the great incoming transfers and freshmen.
