Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

Did Jenkins hit on your girlfriend or something? He may not be an all big east player but he’s literally the only guy on the team that’s consistently brought it and he’s been playing his best recently.
Yeah, it is more than excessive. A lot of people share some of the feelings about the player, to a lesser degree, but have let it go since he's been our best and most consistent performer. It is obsessive at this point.

Jenkins gets most of the slings and arrows because we are frustrated with the team.

Soriano is a mystery. I hope his is not suffering with some unforeseen ailment. I keep thinking about Houston Astros pitcher J.R. Richard whose performance suffered and he was thought to be loafing, but was exhibiting symptoms of a stroke to come.

He’s a cancer. He should be playing for DePaul. The DePaul guards play just like him. They can’t stop anyone and they get their stats with higher shooting %s. They also look pretty good from time to time on offense.

That's a rough call.

If there's one thing I'll never doubt about Pitino, it's his will and motivation to win. Hopefully it starts feeding off the players
That's the part that's concerning. And why it's a talking point regarding NIL; How do you get players to play and be motivated like they want to win as bad as the coach whose livelihood depends on it, when the players are being paid before they perform on the court. Obviously that's a blanket statement and doesn't apply to all, or most, and suggesting kids at this level don't want to win badly is foolish, but I feel there is some merit to it when searching for the grit and toughness that was once on display in this sport.

(Disclaimer: I am all for NIL and kids deserve to be paid, even though I'd like better and clearer rules that are actually enforced to ensure a slightly more level playing field)

I have no concerns about NIL and player effort. Players have been getting paid ever since college basketball existed. There's plenty of reason for them to stay motivated.

I just think there's an apparent effort problem with this particular group, mainly due to lack of chemistry, playing scared, and thinking and not reacting. Can't help but think Pitino's pushed a lot of wrong buttons this past month that's led to this.

I watched the UConn DePaul game last night and I think their guards are the most puzzling players I’ve ever seen in my life. They played worry free and loose down 30. Every time they scored it actually looked good, but it was all one on one.

Their defense is historically bad, but their perimeter players can score with surprisingly decent efficiency %s.

How does that warrant calling Jenkins a cancer?

That's because the other team is usually up by so much, they're not really playing tough D, they're just trying to kill clock. Plus, they're probably playing mostly reserves in the second half. That alone, probably weakens the other team, defensively.

This seems a bit extreme and completely irresponsible to be posting about Soriano. This is how bad rumors start.

Hate when people use that word to describe a player on a team even if they don’t fit in (not that this is the case for Jenkins and he is so far removed from this insinuation even though someone thinks so).

Say they are a bad apple or something like that. Not to be all don’t do this etc but that is too serious a word and condition in real life to throw it around about a sport and player.

Let’s at least find out because we are 2-7 with Jenkins the last 9.
You think Jenkins shoots too much and doesn't share the ball, and Dingle is a better option, and that is crazy in my opinion.

Dingle averages .386 shots .062 assists .067 rebounds per minute on the floor.

Jenkins averages .413 shots .174 assists .124 rebounds per minute on the floor

Jenkins fg% and 3pt% are both 3% better than Dingle and he hits free throws 10% better than Dingle

Jenkins is so far superior to Dingle in all facets it is ludicrous for you to continue this argument. The facts do not back you up

Extreme? I was cautioning those that are slinging arrows. If you consider that irresponsible, tough.
