I wonder if he's also questioning the person who gave him intel on last year's team and did a lot of the recruiting this past season....
Jenkins more the captain on the floor than Soriano don’t know what goes on behind in practice and not sure team is responding anyway. Maybe Pitino should have brought back Curbelo and made him captain
The lineups have changed so much because no one given the chance has seized upon the opportunity to play consistently solid ball. .I'm afraid we may see a big roster turnover again beyond the 5th year players.
That's my biggest fear.
We know atleast 6 guys are leaving...
I hope* we keep atleast 4... Zuby/Luis/Brady/Wilcher... these 4 had a collective 2 yrs of college ball before arriving...
Love what we have been seeing from Zuby the last couple games... needs some polishing- but can only see his tenacity growing once his abilities match his effort.
Similarly with RJ... I hope he buys into what Rick is selling. Rein in the "dumb" mistakes/decisions and this kid can be REAL good.
Yes , who ever touted Ledlum and Dingle made serious miscalculations . I think Pitino and others touting the Ivy all Stars thought they could play up 2 levels .
It hasn’t worked .
We , as fans , accepted that . Another thing with this team is that , most other teams use the Portal to bring in a couple of pieces to add to already BE caliber players .
We added 4 portal players to our 1 remaining player . Not a good mixture .
I also advance a theory that Pitino might have exhausted this bunch by his rigorous practice regime .
Soriano looks gassed in the last month or so . Weakening at end of games , could be fatigue .

Wow….. that’s pretty harsh but necessary I guess. With some kids however, it may have the opposite effect and judging by Soriano’s personna during the game, not sure this is gonna work.
Of those 4 + Taylor, I think we'd be in big trouble if we lose 2+.
Soriano looks disinterested with no sense of urgency and, frankly, lazy.
Never remember being tired on the court a day in my life when in college, even after nights that turned into mornings with only an hour or two of sleep.

Dingle hasn’t been given a freaking chance. He needs the ball in his hands. Why doesn’t screen for him? Ledlum is the only one that does. Even on the last second play to end the half, Ledlum gave Soriano a “are you serious?” glance and then ran up to give provide the high screen.
Until he gets that chance we can’t say anything. We lose with Jenkins. Over and over and over. He makes nobody better. The ball doesn’t move at all…it doesn’t find open shooters. When he sifts the weight if the world is lifted off everyone else.
I agree we should "at least keep Zuby/Luis/Brady/ Wilcher." I'd like to see these four in the starting lineup and most of the game perhaps against Georgetown or Depaul and as a nod to Marillac, start Dingle at point guard. Conway and Taylor would be my first two off the bench. This season is just about over so we should start developing these players, except for Conway, for next year. I'd be interested to see how this starting five plays together.

Great . That line up wouldn’t fare well over the rest of the season . You do want to try and compete over the remaining games , don’t you ? While we aren’t playing well now , we don’t want to lose out the rest of the season and BE Tourney . That would be like tanking , except there isn’t any benefit to tanking in College BB , unlike the Pros .
How do you know the lineup wouldn't fare well over the rest of the season? As you said, we aren't playing well now. First of all, I'm suggesting replacing only two players, our two freshmen, from the last game. Second, I suggested trying the lineup against either Georgetown or Depaul, not Seton Hall, Creighton or Butler. I made no mention of using this lineup over "the remaining games" or "over the rest of the season" as you posted and I made no mention of tanking the rest of the season. Finally, can this lineup do much worse than the last 8 or 9 games?
It could get blown out instead of keeping most games close, but no one knows.
