This happens everywhere. Look at corporate America and see how many middle managers loaf around while at higher end of pay scale while young up and comers grind at bottom of scale and hope they get a few extra points raise to gradually catch up to the others or they leave for another job where they get more $ or feel valued other ways.OR... potentially... the guys making more $... aren't giving top Effort...
can see that bothering some of the lesser paid guys
I think these guys would dislike each other even if NIL wasn’t a thing. To say there is no chemistry would be an absolute understatement.Does docbutler post here anymore? I just read an interesting post from him on a Facebook fan group about a former player assessing some of the problems with the current squad. Anyone else see this?

He was also a bit presumptuous.Doc was always a very knowledgeable poster. Can you tell us what he said?
He wrote that he spoke with a former starting PG of our’s who said many of these guys don’t like each other. There is also some jealousy over NIL and who gets paid what.Doc was always a very knowledgeable poster. Can you tell us what he said?
To say the least. He was also a bit presumptuous.
less than a handfullAll these kids have to do is keep their mouths shut and no one will know who is making what. There are probably only a handful of people at the school who are privy to the numbers.
This very well may be the case. I have no knowledge one way or the other. But, at some point don't the super seniors of the group have to figure out that they should figure out how to make this work for the next 4-6 weeks as it's their last go-round. No one is expecting you to become lifelong buddies. Just figure out how to work together toward a common goal for a few weeks. He wrote that he spoke with a former starting PG of our’s who said many of these guys don’t like each other. Thinking the exact same... kids from Harvard / Penn / VMI / a national champ... you would think there would be a maturity/recognition of the moment with this group...This very well may be the case. I agree . Soriano was abused by Oduro all game , 28 points .Pitino says he played his ass off against Providence. Didn’t look any different to me and I suspect not to others. Goes to show we have no idea how hard he’s playing or practicing but are judging primarily by the results.
Zuby didn’t play most of the second half he got his fourth foul at the start of the half and sat until Soriano foiled out. Oduro had 26 of his 28 points in the second half so saying he schooled Zuby is not accurate.I agree . Soriano was abused by Oduro all game , 28 points .
Oduro has a crafty game , is left handed and can play well in the low post or from the elbow . Joel was beaten continually by him . So was Zuby .
Maybe my eye sight is gone but , does it look like Joel has put back on some of the weight he list this past Summer?
And , is the 2nd half Swoon in games a function of a tired team ?
RP has been working them hard since July and even , now in practices . Has he worn down everyone ?
Physically and Mentally . Even though these players are being paid , tired players just don’t play well .
Good point about Zuby . Maybe abused was harsh . But , who got that 4 th foul on him ?Zuby didn’t play most of the second half he got his fourth foul at the start of the half and sat until Soriano foiled out. The worst part was the last couple minutes of the game when Soriano fouled him 3 possessions in a row. All of the fouls were with the shot clock under 10 seconds too.
The biggest difference I see in Soriano‘s offensive game is that he is no longer patiently creating the angles that resulted in him taking and making a high % of jump hooks. He seems to have reverted to his past habit of rushing, resulting in awkward, low % over the shoulder shots. I don’t know whether this is a function of rushing due to double teams, loss of confidence or simply reverting to the old muscle memory. I tend to think it is the double and triple teams that have made him revert to an older, less effective form.I agree . Soriano was abused by Oduro all game , 28 points .
