Hard to argue the current roster, even with adding your favorites of the five visiting this week, is definitely better than the one we just had
Amazing the jump in N$L payouts from 2022 to 2023. Makes you wonder how high can they go.
I am told by someone that is the president of an ACC N$L that Creighton is believed to have the best financed basketball N$L among the Big East schools.
Can understand not committing to that figure annually if you know bigger ticket items are on the docket in the next recruiting class. Still surprising that the roster is shaping up to be a collection of low/mid majors, Soriano, and UConn’s 7th man.

He hasn’t landed one, man. The concerns are more than justified at this point.
We don’t have a single kid on the roster that was a 4-star recruit out of high school. It looks extremely unlikely that we will add one at this point.
Pitino never had less than 4 top 100 kids in over 20 years kids at UK or Lousiville and that was his his first year at Louisville — that team was 19-13 and all four of those kids were ranked between #12 and #48 in their respective high school classes. And that doesn’t include Ellis Myles who was a soph Pitino’s first year and was ranked as high as #29 and top 45 by multiple rankings.

OK, to put it in your perspective, some boobs have an advantage because they are more enjoyable than others!
have to think that the gameplan for a HS kid that is being over-looked for more experience transfers... go where you will get the most PT... ball out- then get the most $ you can on the open market after year 1 or 2...
The number of 4 or 5 star kids from the class of 23 were largely spoken for and committed before Rich took the job . While Anderson had Gardner who was a 4 I believe , I guess Rick and Gardner’s advisors couldn’t agree on a NIL or , playing time or whatever .
I’d like to think we are better left to have Rick drive the SJU bus and not think we know more than he does about running a Program .
Now , I would say if we don’t get a fair quantity of 4 and a 5 star player or two in 2024, then these second guess questions can be asked .
New players are entering the Portal every day and I am sure Rick and staff are on top of who’s available and who we can attract .

Pitino was supposed to overcome 20+ years of suction. He''s still relevant. On the other hand, I was expecting a Steve Lavinesque haul of top talent his first year here.
We're back to arguing whether Pitino bit off more than he could chew when he jettisoned our mainstays. If you say the guys Pitino brought in are better than the ones we lost, you have zero credibility. Some people will believe anything. There is no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny. You heard it here first.
I believe the change goes into effect June or July 1st.
