You have no idea how bad the culture or whatever you want to call it was. If you knew some of the things that were going on you would not be questioning why pitino did not want to keep them. I am not talking from a basketball talent standpoint. I would think from that point he would have kept some of the guys.

WHAT!!! There's no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny? I call bull, unless I see it written in an unbiased newspaper like the NY Times.

Are you saying last year's roster was 'better' on paper?
Then, I'd agree if we compated rankings and expectations of CMA's 2022 - '23 team to what Rick has assembled/ is assembling.
Add Thomasson, Luis, and Dunlap or Mahoney to the mix (plus 1 - 2 unknowns at this point), and I betcha Rick's 2023 - '24 team will have a better BEC record than the woeful 7 - 13 record last season.
Yeah, we'd be bummed by another below .500 BEC finish, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if if we approached a 10 - 10 finish---or even achieved a better than .500 BEC record.
Totally hypothetical but coaching matters, and we have a 10 - Star HC Stud.
Just a hunch.

He could, but to get the roster with any 3 added from portal that we are linked to to 500 in BEC would be the best job of Pitino’s career. Not putting past him either, but that would be what we would be looking at.

Agree Larry, although the Portal changes a few times / day, but I added the .500 record wild speculation 'just for fun', as in '"Ya know he 'could' achieve that'", lol.
Things remain very fluid.
We shall see.

Next year = fine because we have a terrific coach leading the way.
I could care less if we have no wins 2023-24 because you know we’re going to have a team of players who are well conditioned, listen to the coach and bust there butts every game. AND the coach makes sound in game decisions.
AND we are headed in a good direction = the only direction Rick Pitino knows where to lead his team to.

And CRP is going to blend the players HE chooses into a TEAM relying on HIS formula which has HIS choice of ( 3,4,5*, JC, transfers, walk-ons, European kids) ingredients.
Are we not wise to rely on HIS judgment over ours!
