Rick’s Targets

Thanks, thought so. Would be nice to get an update 😊
Pitino was visiting Mgbako which usually means an in home visit at the player’s dwelling, not a campus visit. If you hear anythin, it will be “It went well. Pitino outlined his vision…”

While I think we only have a ”punchers“ chance, this is early in the first round.

Zach piece, giving some hope lol

“Source close to Harvard transfer Chris Ledlum tells me visit went very well. Was adamant St John's is very much in the mix. Being close to home and playing for Rick Pitino are very attractive for Ledlum. Decision could come by the end of week, but an exact timeline remains fluid.”

From Zach, surprise buzz on Ledlum, hope it proves true:

Much appreciated.

A little Boom Boom Mancini left hook and we’re golden!

I have no doubt if Kolek on Marquette transferring from Geo Mason landed here instead , half of this Board would say “ Role Player or Not quick enough to play in BE..” Although if he came here with CMA as Coach that’s all he would have been .

Conway > Mathieu ( didnt play)
Jenkins > Wusu
Davis > Pinzon (always hurt)
Alleyne > Cabello

Don't you all agree?

Perhaps just looking to squeeze some additional NIL $ from Indiana, but at least a ray of hope

I'm agog on the buzz about Demary Jr. and would be ecstatic if he committed to us, but also getting Mackenzie Mgbako, a huge longshot, would be like hitting the Powerball Jackpot.
I think all my circuits would break, lol.
With a player who just decommitted from a blue blood with tons of NIL $, it all comes down to Power Ball jackpot $ being counter-offered by Pitino. THIS is where you know if the picture with Rick and Mike was just a photo op.

Thank you Ray
Perhaps some on this board have to live more, grow up/mature and then they get it.
Gleason score only 6 for me but some of my WPclassmates having serious prostate issues - it’s the 60-70 age thing,
It does puts St.John’s basketball and recruiting in perspective. It’s fun, important but surely not THAT important.
Fortunate to have Pitino.
Go Redman.
All the best

I'm hearing you. Also scored a 6 on the Gleason scale. So it's a daily pill and monitoring. A friend who has a 7 had to go on hormone treatments and radiation. He is better, but the hot flashes have him empathizing with what women go through. I have heard the surgery is a nightmare. I'm sure it was tough on Lavin. Things may have been different if he didn't go through it. My doc said there is a world of difference between a Gleason score of 6 and 7. To stay on topic, it's not like the difference between a 38 and 39% 3 point shooter. More like comparing a 30% shooter from 3, and one that shoots 40% from 3.

First half of this post had me wincing more than when watching us close out on three-point shooters in 22 of the past 25 years.

Interesting observation!
With Ray Morgan's bat shit crazy analogy, the treatments leave the player shooting blanks for the rest of their lives.
No more three-point shots but mostly misses right under the basket unguarded.
BTW, I went through the "procedure" many years ago and, had Rick done the same and had the Lavin experience he never would have become our coach because he would have shot blanks and never been blackmailed.
For me, the amoral of the story is I never ever worry about getting my cummaras pregnant anymore.

Love to see the activity by the staff..things seem to be moving in a positive direction with some higher level targets. If staff can do this in short amount of time imagine what 24 class should look like. That is my focus in all honesty I’m hoping for solid to good recruits this year who Rick can coach up and compete for tourney bid with and then 24 really make mark and announce the johnnies are back!
