Rick’s Targets

Unless I’m crazy one measurement says 6’9” and the other says 6’11” on the same page. Or maybe I am misreading it? 😂

Either way looks interesting. I can’t even imagine a team with 3 or 4 bigs. My heart be still.

Height without shoes is 6’9 and change and listed height (presumably with shoes) is 6’11.

Both your and Panther’s posts poignant!
Not much more to add but that we have a great HC, perhaps the GOAT and very talented perhaps exceptional players 😀
SSG, I like the word Poignant ! Good vocabulary .

After we finish with Age ,Heights , Weights has to be next , we can start on when will summer Corn be ripe on Long Island ?

Here’s a question for the Membership . Do you think RP has ordered new Basketballs for the coming season ?
The old ones are definitely cursed and carry bad karma.

The test question is, how many are ordered ?

Graduating in 1962 from SJU and just celebrating my eighty third birthday puts me in the old geezer class and if that doesn’t having gone to MSG in Dec 1953 to see SJU play Santa Clara certainly does.
One benefit of that and growing up in Queens gave me a fifteen minute train ride to MSG for a nickel and seeing the Knicks play the Minneapolis Lakers with George Mikan on a Tuesday for fifty cents and the next night to see the Rangers play Montreal with both Richards, Geoffrion,Beliveau, Plante, Harvey etc. for forty cents with your GO card.
Great post , GC 62! Thanks for sharing those memories from back in the Day .

They are all HOF players you named . You saw a lot of good BB and Hockey in that era .

I put his name out there without sources, but I tried to connect the dots between Y2 on twitter saying "Prey", Portuguese big man who's 6'9", and the guy fitting the profile of someone very talented & can shoot. It would seem like an insane coup if we end up with him.

Newsman13 posted he saw the Bill Bradley vs Michigan Holiday Festival game. That game was played following the SJU vs Cinci. semi final game. SJU beat Michigan the next night for the championship.
Bill Bradley put on the finest exhibition of basketball that night I ever saw or have seen since.
That's the one. Our Michigan win still stands out in my mind...but you're right about the Bradley exhibition. I can't remember seeing better in person than that game.
