Think you are second person to misinterpret the intent of my post much like posters are missing LSJA's sarcasm in his post. I didn't mean to say we shouldn't be excited about ZE. In fact he is my kind of player, built like a football player which is especially nice for a PF/C.
 
Idk if you guys heard Frank’s Twitter Spaces with Cragg, but Cragg said Pitino is meticulous & insanely detail oriented watching film over & over & added it reminded him of Coach K. Just the pure will to win & outwork others.

Plus, passing on a guy like Thomasson who is a solid player but also saw potential character flaws being too selfish & individually-oriented (NIL is first & winning is 2nd) is refreshing & any other recent coach gets him even with warning signs. We have a team who will run through brick wall for Rick. Stealing Kansas big from TCU/Kentucky/etc? Cherry on top!

I said I was happy with Dingle and predicted NCAA bid.
Until Dingle didn’t feel the roster was an NCAA tournament team.
Glad they got him and hope he is as good as we all hope.

And as far as Mr .199
Saw my first game when Mullin was a Frosh.
Had an uncle that sat the bench for Louie.
I am a fan and a Pitino fan. Wasn’t sold on roster.
Bunch of Karen’s on here didn’t like that.

Pitino is notorious for scouting like 2-3 games ahead of time also. Last year they scouted Penn in July for a November game. His days at L'Ville, Doug Davenport was a grad asst or a video coordinator something like that on staff. He was in charge or getting tape together for scouts. One day after a game they're getting on the plane and Pitino tells him to have film ready for a game that he thought he had more time to cut up. He said he threw something together in like 30 mins that was passable and then they went over it at like 2am. Then at like 4:30 am he got on the treadmill and Davenport was a young guy at this time and said he couldn't let Pitino outwork him so he got on the treadmill next to him.

Pitino has the work ethic of a psycho, he's nuts, and has the absolute highest expectations...but that's why he's in a class by himself.

I'd post a picture of something out to pasture ( I'd do it respectfully not saying the name ) and yet that person brutally verbally attacked me exposing me as an elitist. Yet here I am taking the business class high road :)

What was your intent? I took it to mean we shouldn’t be excited for a guy if he will only play limited role as mostly back up center.

No gimmick
Before Dingle didn’t feel the roster was tournament worthy. Said would be appeased by Dingle. I am appeased. Outside of Norm wasn’t a coach basher and certainly not a Pitino basher.
Simply didn’t think roster was particularly impressive.

I hope you realize you unintentionally used a term that will be remembered here for generations in a way you didnt necessarily want. :)

Originally Mendoza thing was a joke
I have no idea what his % is.
But that dude takes himself way to serious, like his is Dan Rather or something.
