At this point you have to wonder about Drissa. In terms of playing time, the case is closed for him. I felt that way since Sadiku signed on right after Luis. This just cements it.

Does he become a walk on at this point? Or does he move on to find a better situation? I’d love to have him as a member of the team, but at the expense of getting a true center to be an understudy for Joel? I’m not so sure.

Let it go. The roster is done for 2023-24 and we will be a damn good team. We will need bodies next year, so the euro recruit could’ve always been for something down the line.

People also said it would be a horrible look to hire Pitino and we haven’t heard a peep.

Drissa is a player still learning the game. He will get minutes on the second team as a back up 3 or 4. He's actually a decent shooter. I bet you he gets more minutes than Zuby got at Kansas!

Absolutely agree. Especially after other big men notice the big step forward Soriano takes next season.

It would be a horrible look because a month ago Pitino raved about the kid. So what would’ve changed in a month that would not make Pitino look like a slimy guy who just says things to say it.

Drissa is close to Joel, he knows Ayo and the local kids, and still keeps us tied with Lutheran. He’s a great teammate, works hard and wants to get better. I know some might put the “MA stink” on him but Rick went out of his way to vouch for him and Joel so that should mean something.

Drissa knows his role. Hes an end of the bench kid. He accepts that so good for him. I dont believe Rick ever game him the impression that he was getting big minutes if he stuck around.
