A few weeks and nothing !




BIG DEAL ! Three weeks.

We have a great coach and he can't be compared to regular coaches.

He lives and thinks in a different mind stratum.
His brain bounces up and down all day long.

He is doing his thing, and the audacity of we, " SIMPLE FANS' to question him !

Keep the faith and let him do his thing, bounce, bounce, bounce.

I see Mullins, Berrys, Seidens, Jacksons, Zawoluks and McMahons
on the horizon , as well as yes, FRANK McGuire, helping out.
The plan is working, stay cool!

Again what is your point?

Maybe Rick Pitino doesn’t value their skill sets and attitudes on and off court the way some on here do.

It takes a unique player to play for Pitino. That doesn’t make the guys that left all bad players. Maybe they are not good fits for his system and set of on court standards that have won national championships.

Hope them all well, but if you think a HOF coach like Rick Pitino would put up with Wusu getting blocked 5 times a game on layups for 3 straight years I just don’t know what to tell you.

I prefer to focus on the players and not just lump them in as mid majors looking to transfer. Should we stay away from ledlum cause he never got an athletic scholarship? Our best player was a transfer from Fordham. Mich st best player was from northeastern. Kansas state best player was from Troy.

Let’s talk about Dannis. I’m not saying you’re wrong in thinking Clayton is the better player, I agree. But you seem to think they are light years apart and I’m not as sure of that or why you’d think so.

Well his brain bouncing up and down all day would help explain his strategy so far. A concussion makes sense.
 
Ricks guys. The 30 or so guys who are blessed to receive an offer from St Johns, some of whom have no idea where St Johns is but are blessed nevertheless.

The guys who have narrowed their lists to a top five choices. Checking their NIL potential before deciding if a visit is worthwhile.

The guys who actually schedule a visit in spite of being told by RED FANS they are not a fit.

Lastly the guys who commit and the board explodes both pro and con while some old guy wants to reminisce about some movie he saw 10 years ago.
 
I bumped into someone very much in the know this past week. He told me that we’re in on players who haven’t officially hit the portal yet. He gave it a 4-6 week time line till the roster is ready. The 2024 class is being prioritized.

He also was very disappointing in what happened this season. There’s a lot of stuff that we don’t know about that was hand delivered to Pitino prior to him accepting the job here. He didn’t give me any details.

Biggest thing is patience and trust the staff. We’re rebuilding a roster. I cannot emphasize that enough.

Lot of generalizations I know and I apologize. But we’re out there and very much in play for top 2024 talent

My sister’s husband’s cousin’s dentist told me some other stuff that might or might not have happened that totally or maybe doesn’t disagree with everything you may or may not have heard.

Because as great as he is he is a basketball coach. He is not a nuclear physicist. I can follow along. He is going to build his roster through the portal. Sorry if I spoiled the ending but that is the plan. He is not going to emerge in October with a secret team. There are no Norm Roberts mystery recruit walking through the door. He is not cloning people. Cloned Chris Mullin and Walter Berry are not walking through that door.

Kids from mid majors who played in NCAA tournaments, were Player of the Year and on the academic honor role usually would get the same or more attention that a 4 Star high school prospect who played against kids that use their team participation as an extra curricular activity to impress the colleges they are applying to....
