Syracuse said if ND joined the conference in FB they wouldnt have left. Dont think there going to.
Really???????????????
What an obnoxious statement.

What exactly is obnoxious also was referring to ND not joining in FB.

I think they are lying -- they just want to deflect some of the blame.
Cowards.

Syracuse could go rot in ACC hell for all I care. The icing on their cake will be for Jim Boeheim to retire the year they leave the BE. What is also satisfying for me is that the ACC and Cuse think they have arranged a football wedding when, in fact, Syracuse is POS bottom-feeder in FB and will remain so in the ACC.
If the Big East pursues expansion on the football side, almost every team mentioned is currently rated higher in the polls and would be upgrades in football. SMU, Houston and Temple are all rated higher! Raiding the Big 12 for football members, as some have suggested, is laughable! A weak football conference does not raid the top football conference in the country! If you count Texas A&M, this weeks top 25 includes SIX Big 12 football schools. If, by luck, the BE adds SMU and Houston in addition to TCU, the Big East will have a presence in the #1 high school football state in America. High school games in Texas regularly draw 10-12,000 on Friday nights! Villanova drew 6,000 last week!!! The service academies have a national following similar to that of Notre Dame and fit in with the Irish academically. Here is hoping that Mr. Money Bags Burton does not get the last call on expansion at Uconn and that Rutgers realizes how irrelevant they really are in football so they can focus on their BB strengths and leave the football to the new, stronger members.

Rutgers? BB strengths?
Rutgers? BB strengths?
Tap me on the shoulder when they do anything of significance on the court.

That tap may be a bump this year. You are not paying attention to THIS years' class! Forget the past! This is the strongest Rutgers team in years and we have the most inexperienced team in a half century!! Of course I am hoping we get Pelle and Garrett back but their height will kill us this year! We start a thread about a 6'4 walk on and they will not play ONE walk-on this year!

NJ State basketball 2011 is NJ State football 2006. Remember when NJ State beat Louisville on espn? Greg Schiano was ready to catapult them into a prennial bcs program? How did that turn out? And Schiano was competing against a crap football conference. Rice has to compete against some of the best coaches in the country. I think Rice will either:
a. implode, his frenzied eyes can make his fellow man very nervous
b. leave for another program
NJ State's success (and they haven't played games yet) will be fleeting imo.
Oh yeah, just in case you haven't figured it out, I despise that school.

Wait I thought the Geoff Billet/Earl Johnson crew was going to turn things around.
No, no, it was Todd Billet/Dahntay Jones that was going to put RU back on the map.
On third thought, wasn't it the Mike Rosario/Greg Echenique class that would return the glory to Piscataway?
Whatever the case, you're right on point. The Scarlet Knights are going to tear up the Big East this year. Go C. Viv, go!
Syracuse is obnoxious because they are led by a a chancellor and athletic director who orchestrated this entire landslide......
