Repole on the radio

I’m not a fan of Cluess. And any mid major coach they get is honestly gonna struggle to recruit when there is now so much out in the open about the incompetence about this program. Other teams recruiters will destroy us when talking to kids we are going for.

Pitino is the only one who could make none of that matter. He’d get recruits anyway just because it’s him.

You and I have no idea what steps Repole took to air his frustrations with this administration before he decided this was his only option. For all we know, he may have been rebuffed by both Bobby G and Oliva numerous times. Something like this isn’t done until all other options have been tried and failed.

"Sunlight is the best disinfectant". All those people running around behind the scenes with no accountability just got sunburnt.

It need to happen.

Now what needs to happen is they need to clean house and bring in people who know what they are doing, and let Cragg run things without interference.
 
Repole is now one of my heroes. It is amazing that the clowns running the show barely have a relationship with probably the biggest donor.
 
The worst take away is that our biggest potential program donor is completely ostracized. This means no chance at a big time name unless the power dynamic shifts. Maybe this was his attempt to shift that dynamic or today was simply his Festivus.

It’s not all that matters to me but I’m starting to worry we are entering a Norm-like era of St. John’s basketball where we are going to be basement bound for the next 5-10 years. I’m racking my brain trying to find an option that could avoid this and unfortunately Pitino with all his baggage was the one thing that came to mind

What would you do if you were Gempsaw or Oliva on the receiving end of a Repole enema? My guess is they'll be angry and kill any idea that could help the program. Repole told it like it is....like Mad Dog on steroids.

This was a PR disaster. I can't imagine...short of hiring one of the Pitinos of the world...anything happening for the better.
