Rasheem Dunn Waiver Denied (APPEAL WON)

CSU AD:
Here's some bureaucratic mumbo jumbo that no one will understand but maybe it'll help make me look less evil.
WORLD:
You still suck.

Finally he has responded (instead of just blocking people). Scott's "response" is brutal. Zero likes, one retweet and a bunch of push back in the comments after getting hammered by the national media. He screwed up badly and he knows it. Nobody is backing him up.

Nobody is buying his line of BS. We know his statements had weight in this process. It has been plainly stated, even not with the 10 business days. Obviously Garrett didn’t cooperate the first time or Dunn would have been cleared long ago. He should have been more apologetic but is getting hammered now and rightfully so. I too think it will turn for us and soon. The pressure is on, even from guys like Vitale.

We also know that the reason Dunn's ruling came so late is because CSU took forever to send in the needed paperwork. This has been a months long process and they have been vindictive at every point.

I'm sure he was rooting against us last night. Would love to have Dunn back by Saturday (or at least before Vermont) so this ass can't do any damage to us (or Dunn's career).
Vitale;

It is time for @CSU_Athletics to do what is RIGHT & inform the @NCAA that they would approve granting Rasheem Dunn immediate eligibility . The AD must understand that we should Help not hurt kids . Coach who recruited Rasheem was FIRED.@StJohnsBBall @NYPost_Brazille
I've become a HUGE fan of Dickie V's---despite his Duke-mania, lol. Way to go, Mr. Vitale!

On the air, Dickie V is the ultimate front runner/cheerleader. He gets pumped up over whoever has the momentum at the moment.

Reality is that Dickie V. has been a long time supporter of StJ hoops. I have frequently heard him talking us up over the years. I remember once during the opening of the season, he was doing a big game at MSG on ESPN featuring 2 top teams. He started going off on StJ’s basketball scheduling (we were playing a cupcake), saying that we needed to be in big time games. He understands our place in history and what we should be.

Are you trying to get this thread locked?

I just read today that the Cleveland AD was only hired in April — without any previous stints as an AD. And that he fired the coach shortly thereafter. He’s pretty young, mid to late 30s. There’s no way a seasoned AD would ever pull this crap. He clearly was green, and just trying to take some type of ‘tough guy’ stand — unfortunately in doing so he’s playing with Dunn’s future. He’s going to ultimately fold, but still outrageous.

In bold: Maybe that's possible. Or, maybe he's simply a heartless douche bag, regardless of his age and being unseasoned.

Somebody needs to explain this to me bc I still don't get it. Why is CSU's position in any way relevant to whether Dunn gets the waiver? If there is some piece of information that requires their confirmation, I get it. But if it's simply a matter of getting their blessing, I'm not sure why that matters.

Agree completely, somebody in their mid to late thirties isn’t a F$#@nut [soundcloud][/soundcloud]because they are green it is because they are a F$#@nut.

One fact that I believe is relevant is that Rasheem was a minor (under the age of 21) when he transferred in to and out of the prestigious Cleveland State University which gives rise to whether he understood that he was unconditionally committing to CSU and not Coach Felton.

Not sure if this post is a joke. Dunn was not a minor when he transferred out of CSU and certainly was old enough to be held accountable for his actions. While the drinking age may be 21, for all other purposes a person is considered an adult as of their 18th birthday.

Hey Boo
Yes Dunn was under 21 at the time of his transfers (plural) and yes, in an appeal, hearing or litigation the issue of equity, informed consent, and fraud (what Felton told him prior to transfer) may be relevant issues. No joke.
