He doesn't call offensive sets.
He doesn't properly call timeouts.
He sits guys for no reason.
He allows guys to play out of control and keeps them in.
He cannot make in-game adjustments.
His players don't box out.
His players buy every head fake.

I am always positive but I paid very close attention to his substitutions tonight ( or lack of ANY in last 15 minutes). Honestly, mind boggling. Where did Sampson go at end? You have hooper in on a defensive set and taking an in bounds pads when he can't dribble?!?! Not playing Jordan is a joke. Even if you sit him for 10 minutes, you have to bring him in to handle ball. I am convinced tonight Lavin is confused or really needs an EXTREMLY strong assistant that he listens to. I guess he deserves to coach these guys as seniors but it really is hard to be positive at this point. He is not putting them in a position to win.

Did anyone else see how Harrison left the court and didnt go to the handshake line.... that does not bode well for this team. At the end of this season we could be in for a long long long off season.

Hard for Harrison to face up to he's real a determent down the stretch. Sampson can't cut it, but he can still smile. I know the board going to keep ripping Lavin, fine. The players who are supposed to be our best help turn wins to loses. I think Lavin stays, and any players he recruits better then the guys we have. We have lost 3 games that all we needed was someone to make a play. Not a big deal play. Any kind of play that was not a giving the game away play. Coach has them in position to win, but they throw it away. I guess it's back to ripping Lavin.

A nugget from the arena... When Lavin put hooper in before the turnover he sheed threw his hands up in disgust. When Hooper turned it over sheed was fuming. Kid should have been in that game.

Come on now. Need a bucket on three different occasions. We dont pass the ball so our best chance is to drive for the win. Our best driver is on the bench. That is on Lavin! you have to see that

Rysheed shredded providences press early in the game and forced them to stop pressing, so unbelievable Lavin made that decision
 
God's Gift has earned his playing time, played aggressive tonight with strong rebounding. Has to be first big man in before Obepka.
While everyone waited for Harrison to take the last shot in the first overtime I would have surprised them with a Sampson cut to the middle. How can Lavin put Hooper in overtime? He let a Friar get a rebound without boxing out. And that terrible out of bounds possession. That was a perfect spot for Jordan to be in.
Greene should not have played Cotton at halfcourt, too much space to drive to the basket on the last play.

I agree cant blame the coach its the gm's fault for bringing in these low skilled low iq players..
 
the best slasher we have to the rim is Jordan and he can hit his foul shots, why was he not in the game...ooh that's right he should of checked himself into the game, cause its not Lavins fault

But right after the game, coach gave Sheed a Blue-Ray of "He Got game". Told Sheed to watch the scene with the One on One game between Denzel and Ray Allen. Allen asks Denzel "what are you doing?" and Denzel says, "I'm teaching, son!" So was Lavin. Teaching Sheed what not to do as a coach.
 
for anyone to blame Harrison or Sampson here they no nothing about the game .. go out there in crunch time no one was guarding gift or pointer and they were playing 2 on 5 .. green a nice 7th man for a low mid major ..... Jordan is a high recruit and I would bet anyone he is gone after this year ..hooper is a side part player buy on offense at end it should have been Jordan dlo Sampson and gift u have to respect dlo Sampson and Jordan even if wild could get in lane... green and pointer no factor to score and not a factor on D also they want to shot but cant .. on any play dlo will be attacked cause there is no option .. to have a time out and not use it when hooper is in trouble(why was he in for Sampson instead of pointer) is crazy then call time out before providence shoots so green gets ball in hands instead of Jordan or dlo to go coast to coast is a joke ,,, we are a team with low bball iq and no offense .. we were over rated we look like good athletes but we are not ver good basketball players and recruits like Jordan should not come here because it has to be frustrating for the young man to get recruited so heavey told the ball would be in his hands then see pointer green and hooper get minutes over him .. I like hooper I like sju but If I was Jordan I would not stand for it ,,, how does the young man get better when he gets circle jerked around ever time he makes a mistake and told to sit behind low mid major talent ... I loved the lavin hire but his warts are to big to miss .. he is stubborn has a big ego and is not a very good in game coach ... we are in for another long season folks and we all know it .. we all love sju baskeball but tonight was a tough one to stomach .. I even told lil hope 1 and 2 they can not watch sju I don't need them getting bad habbits ,, 1st time I ever told them they couldn't watch a sporting event
