Yes you had Marquette winning regular season my mistake and apologies (unless you edited your post afterwards ).Don't think you read my post too carefully. I predicted that we would win the BET in two different places in my post.

Agree , they have been practicing together since early July . Exception being Jenkins but , he’s a Pitino on the Court according to Rick .I could be wrong of course but I think the idea they are going to need an inordinate amount of time to develop chemistry is being overblown. We have veteran players, a coach who specializes in developing and blending teams and I would dare say virtually every BE team is incorporating key new players; maybe not to the degree SJU is but nonetheless they are.
I’ll wait till after exhibitions to guess the OOC record
-12-8 in conference
- BET finals loss
- 7 seed NCAA tourney
- lose to 2 seed Michigan state
Leading scorer
- Ledlum
Leading Rebounder
- Joel
Most Assists
- Jenkins
Most 3 pointers
- Dingle
Best Defender
- Taylor
Closing 5
Tight Game closing minutes
- Jenkins
- Dingle
- Luis
- Ledlum
- Joel
Close lead final minute (Ledlum poor FT shooter)
- Jenkins
- Dingle
- Alleyne
- Luis
- Joel
Fair enough lolYou can’t wait, you have to go in blind like the rest of us
If Dingle doesn’t lead the team in scoring that would be one of the biggest surprises in my time as a fan of this program. Ledlum, Soriano, Jenkins, and Luis are basically a coin toss for #2 to me. The dark horse there is Taylor.
I think we are seeing the same thing when it comes to Taylor on defense. He’s got quick feet and will be a deflection machine.
I feel sorry for whoever plays the 3 against us because we have 100 small forwards who will get playing time based mostly on how well they defend.
I also think we will win the classic. The depth on the roster will be very conducive to playing three games in four days.Fair enough lol
Here’s what I’ll predict for OOC:
- we win the Charleston classic but the rest of our resume won’t be as impressive as you’d think with that Tourney championship.
- I’ll say 9-2 with the Charleston Belt.
I think the secondary scoring options upfront are gonna be less than those found at the off guard. I think Dingle and ledlum will be neck and neck though.
I will add, I’m high on RJ as a defender. Not as quick side to side as Taylor but great length and good instincts. Not sure what you’ve seen in clips to worry you there.
Yes depth and coaching should play big dividends in rounds 2 & 3.I also think we will win the classic. The depth on the roster will be very conducive to playing three games in four days.
Luis is going to be a big steals guy...he's got potential to be a menace on the boards too if he plays with an edge. His quickness is not stellar, but versatility should be his strongest asset on defense...guarding 2-4. He kind of reminds me of a much taller Shamorie in some ways, because of his body control. Taylor looks super quick to me on defense...he could be a shut-down defender. You don't see that often in 6'6 players.Fair enough lol

A bit much
I will settle for that any day of the week.
They're one off, non conf they got right at 10-1, conf they'll get 23 wins.I will settle for that any day of the week.
