(POST GAME) Seton Hall, Sat., Mar. 6, 7p, FS-1 / 570 AM WMCA

For years, there have been a lot of posts about how our past 2 coaches didn't make any halftime adjustments. No one is saying that anymore. We have had some brilliant second halves this season. Our guys shot the ball in the 2nd half like Nova did against Georgetown in the NCAA final.  Great second half by Earlington. He stuck the dagger in SH 3 times at least. Not bad for a player some believed was a waste of a scholaarship.

Moore may have sealed his fate. I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers during the off season.

Coach Anderson can recruit someone more coachable.

I hope not. He's a very important piece for this team. Just need to reel him in a little. Hopefully, he responds positively.

Not sure about you guys, but I'm a lil cautious on us going back to the garden. Hope the can get a lot of practice time there to get used to the space and the floor.

I don’t want Moore to leave at all. He’s important. Just because we pulled it out tonight without him means nothing. Hopefully he takes his medicine like a man and comes back stronger because this team needs him.

Moore has two strikes with the Coach. He'll probably get a 3rd chance in the post season. I hope he makes the most of it.

He is impressive when his game is hot.

I think our team missed playing in the Garden this season, our second home. I think they will be hype to play there especially that it's the BET.

I have to believe this is a real possibility even though it probably won't happen because we aren't one of the "top" teams

COY - CMA
POY - Champ
ROY - Posh
DPOY - Posh

we are not one of the top teams ?
what exactly does that mean as we will finish either 4th or 5th out of 11 teams? We are no doubt in the upper half of the league.
not really sure who the poy is but I give it to Champ over Mamu, that is for sure. As for COY and ROY if CMA and Posh do not win those awards it is a huge travesty IMHO. They each ran away from the competition.
Just love the direction the team and program are headed. It has been a very long time since I have felt this level of comfort. Thank you Mike Cragg and thank you CMA.

The size advantage SH had was huge. Up front, 6'6, 6'11 and 7'2.  At 1 point we had 4 guards on the floor, including 5'11 Mcgriff. One thing that matters sometimes is not the height of the player, but the fight in the player. For the past 2 games we fought for rebounds down the stretch like the ball was the Holy Grail. Our guys got all the 50-50 balls in the second half, including contested rebounds, despite Seton Hall's huge size differential. That can only happen with extreme effort and a ton of heart. A really great team effort.

Required preface: love CMA and really enjoying watching this team play. But just for the sake of debate, if you're sending out the player of the year, defensive player of the year and freshman of the year and you finished 4/5th, can you really be coach of the year?

I don't think Champ gets POY.  My guess is Robinson-Earl.

But, yes you can still get COY, when that POY is a sophomore who was unheralded 2 years ago and that freshman was again someone who didn't get a ton of fanfare as being that type of player off-the-bat.

CMA gets a ton of credit for developing those kids (of course they do, too).  And for developing a bench that has proved enormous throughout the BE season.

Go ask Seton Hall how important it is to have a bench.  That team starts seniors and juniors who have been successful and played together for years.  Their best players are upperclassmen.  With Mamu, Cale and Rhoden, plus the size that Ike gives them, the Hall should have cakewalked into the NCAA tourney in this year's Big East.  Willard is a good coach but he hasn't done a good job with that group.

If none of them were expected to be selected as such prior to the season, it’s only more reason. But I do understand your point.
