What I find interesting is the substitution patterns CMA has established in the last 2 games (and probably more although Posh was in the mix). Except for Moore/Toro, the minutes for each of the players has been consistent.  The players know what to expect from their coach.  Also interesting that Dunn after big game versus Providence takes 8 less shots versus Hall but adds rebounding and more assists.

What ive noticed is that when we're struggling with the outside shot, CMA favors Wasu, due to his ability to get to the hoop. That's why Moore, when he embraces his role, is so important in getting easy shots around the rim.

How are Xavier and SH just slam dunks over us when it comes to the Tourney? I don’t get that. 

I dont get that either.  Each  only have 13 wins at this point and X is below .500 in conference play.  We had some bad losses but, we are finishing strong, unlike SH.  Also, BYU loss doesnt look so bad now.

10-9 a winning end to the conference schedule.

I'm glad Mcgriff is gaining confidence and improving.

Overall this has been a great 2nd year for Coach Anderson and SJ.


I think McGriff has pleasantly surprised us. Has shown plenty of confidence thus far, even though he hasn't had much playing time.
And how about an extension for our excellent coach. Do I hear a yes?

People still don't get it.  SJU's league rankings at the end of the season. 

Scoring offense- 1st
shooting % 4th
3pt % -4th
FT % -3rd


This sju team is at the top of the league in quite a few offensive categories.  Some defensive as well, but sju fans aren't used to seeing the offensive numbers.  It's why we can always come back, and have.


 

That and we have the ability to wear teams down which happened tonight as well as against Providence. We just need to remember that the key to winning is to attack not settle for 3s. Once we started taking it at them they started having to play defense. We got to the foul line and made them, put doubt in their heads and just beat them down.

And, played very good defense on Mamu in 2nd half.



I really would like to see us start games with drives to the basket rather then hurling up so many threes.

Providence second game down at half, no Posh, no problem, CMA adjusts and we win going away.

Seton Hall last night, down huge to SH, no Posh and Moore, no problem, CMA adjusts and we win going away.

CMA has to be considered for Coach of the Year. Such strength of character to sit Moore for his own reasons, this takes guts and the results followed. Like this coach more and more each game. We hired a real winner.

Not sure about you guys, but I'm a lil cautious on us going back to the garden. Hope the can get a lot of practice time there to get used to the space and the floor.

I thought Greg Williams played a particularly well-rounded game.  Among many contributions, he was aggressive on the boards.  Finished with 5 rebounds and all 5 seemed to come at key points in the game.

The boards were huge yesterday. Could be a good sign that he’s feeling 100%

Regarding GWill, out of the 8 rotation guys he takes second least amount of shots per 40 minutes, just barely above wusu. SHOOT IT BABY
