Terrific gutsy win on the road. Means nothing if we don’t win the games we are supposed to down the road.

Want to commend Keita . Marquette was. Working the high screen for Keita to switch on Howard. In most other games, Howard would abuse that matchup. Sedee’s active hands and feet made Howard pass most possessions. Small things, but important for the overall result, I’m sure that chase down block at the end of the 1st half was on his mind too. I can sleep well tonight...
I can't understate how huge of a win this was tonight. Huge! But the game shouldn't have been as close as the final score. If we can somehow value every possession, then we could win some games soundly or going away. I guess this is who we are at this juncture.

Once again, a solid win and a win that should put us in position to dance as long as we take care of our business the rest of the way. Proud of this group of players.
I think some of our guys were running on fumes.

Such a huge win the difference between 5-5 and 4-6 is huge! Now if we take care of business the next two at home instead of just getting to 6-6 we will be 7-5 and maybe start to distance ourselves from the rest of the pack!

We need 5 more w’s. They’re there. We can get em.

Doesn’t matter where but 5 of 8 and if one is over nova then it’s a lock.

In the last 5 minutes, maybe less, Marquette hit 4 straight 3s. To overcome that was pretty awesome.

I know this has been beaten to a pulp but I’m still infuriated that the SH game counts as a loss. We should be 6-4, 18-5 right now.

If, before the road trip, you told me we would beat Creighton and Marquette, but get clobbered by Duke, I would have happily signed on the dotted line.

ESPN just showed a comparison how Duke did against us and then vs. BC. Showed every other ranked matchup today. Guess who was left out?

Watched the game, recorded the game, will re-watch it tomorrow. I'm already afraid the refs may screw us out of a win.

The more I think about it the harder I might have been on Simon. He was probably sucking big time air those last 5 minutes. They weren’t get out on Howard or Hauser as well as they had the rest of the game. They really need Trimble not to miss (really) any time.

To me, that makes Heron’s defense on Howard on that final possession even bigger.

You still watch that channel?

It’s very likely that getting embarrassed by Duke was the only way we won this one. The effort was spectacular from start to finish...something you just don’t see after wins. You can only give 100% of what you have and you usually have extra emotion following a loss.

I know I would have signed for a beatdown at Duke in exhangr for a conference win @ Marquette.

Fans root for thier TEAM and should not demean their players and blame them for everything when the ball does not bounce the way they would like. It gets old really fast to read post after post like that. Don't tell me its just being emotional. We all get emotional and wrapped up in rooting, but the majority of us don;t indulge in these type of "emotional" posts-post something positve or just watch the game and keep the trigger finger off thr keybord.

post something and not negative

Funny, been thinking ‘ahead’ (because I expected this win—but not by a point! ). Lol.
Thinking that it’s hard to beat a team 3 times in a season—but we’ll be ‘home’ and will do it.

Cannot lose under any circumstance to Providence on Saturday. Need to follow this up with win on Saturday.
Have to adopt the Derek Jeter postseason mentality, "This game means nothing unless we win the next one."

For someone harping on ending negativity, your post seems to fit that same category. Again, we all root for this team and they make it far from easy. Instead of disparaging fellow fans, how about celebrating a massive top 10 road win that may just be the turning point of our season?

Well figuring Marquette finishes second and hoping we can finish third which would set up a third match up. Guess we could hope Marq gets upset in quarters but would probably help our NCAA seeding to beat Marq again. I know I'm getting ahead of things with this as I am not one to take any game for granted just random thoughts. Besides it is the team that has to take games one at a time.
