... Not much to dislike about this game
Tell it to my cardiologist.
Swept Creighton & M’Q with legitimate chance for two others. Beating ranked, hot team a tonic for dance invitation. Well done, now on to my cardiologist.
Yes Mr. P - How do we spell St. John’s basketball?

A N G I N A

Good for the staff who’s taken a lot of crap
Good for the kids who are, after all, kids
Good for we posters - despite our fickleness!

Thank you God! Prayed all night. And to think Clark did not score and we still won. We had to be thinking how wrong we were regarding Simon. Howard held to 17, congrats to Justin for his all around play. He scored 15 in the first meet and 19 tonight. Guys had to be tired, heck we all were. Talk about clutch with Ponds, unbelievable scores every time we needed. Our next defeat of a top 25 team will be against Villanova.
The players showed some fortitude this evening.
You're more PC than me, Otis
I was thinking more like the players showed some balls this evening
To me, fortitude is an SAT word

Simon deserves a get out of jail free card for the rest of the season. The kid played his ass off for 40 minutes.
Awesome, gritty, gutsy win at the most critical point of the season!
A loss today would've put a big hurt on our chances for a decent regular-season conference standing. Georgetown and Creighton would've been tied for 3rd and we'd be lumped with the Hall, DePaul, and Butler--four teams 'tied' for '4th' place.
This win proved we could prevail in a very tough place to play on the road!
We must beat Providence on Saturday--no slipping now!
Then take revenge on Butler next Tuesday. to set up a mighty win over Nova at the Garden on Feb. 17th.
Let's do it.
Where have you been? Did you take the night off from posting or something? Unacceptable!

Let’s go in a nice run. I thought it was over when they took the lead. The refs tried to take it from us but our kids fought like hell! This team has their flaws but they never give up the fight! They deserve this, so happy for them!!
That’s funny, didn’t we lose?
I’m a defensive pessimist Guinness. That’s my personality, plan for the worst hope for the best. They really roughed it out tonight.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. I just wish you’d wait until it’s actually over to declare the game over.
It’s just passion! Or insanity, but I repeat myself. Keep posting MG, you’re a volume shooter!
Lol!! Mostly passion but could be a little a both. I have been known to have a couple of screws up in my head loose! Thanks Spocky all the best!

5 of our next 6 games are at home
Hope we pack CA and MSG and support our guys to the hilt
NCAA's, here we come!!!
As The Rock would say, "I smell what the Johnnies are cooking"

I was at a meeting and kept going to the men's room to peak at the score!
Lol.

Wouldn't mind seeing round 3 in the semi-finals of the BET at MSG next month.
Go easy on Gene guys, the refs really were taking this from us and in addition we were running out of gas. Didn't look like we'd pull it out but we somehow held on. These are the games we won in OOC but haven't in conference play. Can't lose a game like this up big most of the game. Huge to give us 2 signature wins and sets up homestand. We are all brothers dying for this team to win...no sense in coming down on anyone for doubting it when things aren't going well. Welcome back to .500!
Thanks Mikey, all the best!! Go St. John’s!!!

I am planning a road trip to NYC for BE tourney. This is the year for us. What a fun team to root for and travel for!

Oofah, besting these guys 3 times in one season is asking a lot.

Honestly, I want Villanova again. That game still doesn’t sit well with me.

Be honest.....you thought it was over as soon as the ball was tipped!

I can't understate how huge of a win this was tonight. Huge! But the game shouldn't have been as close as the final score. If we can somehow value every possession, then we could win some games soundly or going away. I guess this is who we are at this juncture.

Once again, a solid win and a win that should put us in position to dance as long as we take care of our business the rest of the way. Proud of this group of players.
