(POST GAME) @Marquette, Sun., Jan. 31, 3:30p, FOX / 570 AM WMCA

That steal by Posh late and that insane layup by Wusu bought a tear to my eye. These kids are really growing up.

51-51 14:00 left  and all of the redmen.commers were ready to fold! Luckily Posh, Wusu, snd the crew don't know what that means. Love the way Julian leads, never too up or down and is a good contrast to Posh. And btw he has gotten away with quite a few shuffles of the feet so far this year. Glad this one didn't cost us. Wusu lay up over Theold John is just the beginning of a memorable career.
Theold !! Haaaaa that's funny. Well Dunn

Call me a homer or bias whatever I don't care, but the refs blatantly tried to give Marquette that game. Don't get me wrong we tried to give it away too many times, but the refs were in the bag.

How that wasn't over the back on that Marquette player with 3 seconds left was a joke. And then a jump ball called on Dunn when no Marquette player even had their hands on the ball... if the possession arrow was with Marquette that could've cost us the game. And don't even get me started on Wusu getting clipped by Theo John on that late layup, no call.

just a disgrace from the referee crew today

I hate talking, blaming, even noticing refs I guess because of all the T's I got both playing and coaching. Anyway, I agree with you today, how Theo John did not have a single foul is......well, impossible!!

Wusu was fouled as well, there was a lot of body contact on that play.  Had that been on Marquette's side they would have without a doubt gave them that call.

It seems clear we have 2 stars at present in Julian and Posh. But Cole with his 3rd very good game in a row. Solid contributions from Wusu, Roberts, Dunn and Moore today, Earlington with good d but must get it together on O as we know he is capable of lighting it up.
Really excited about finishing out this season and getting a healthy Greg W back.

We need to get Julian more touches (notwithstanding his late turnover) when our opponents make runs.  He has to at least touch the ball in those situations and there are too many trips that he doesn't.

Am I wrong, but did anyone else see the officals try to give the game to Marqueet? Final example trying to call a jump ball with 12 seconds left when there wasn't a Marqueet player within three feet? BS like that the whole game. Who were these guys?

Problem is when Wusu is hip checked he barely moves, lol. Brick wall!

Btw, Mike has confidence in Dylan to let him inbound ball down the stretch. Speaks volumes to me

SJU has a solid core of 9 players, 8 of whom will hopefully return next year. I would say things are looking up. Onl;y recuriting miss this year was Toro imho.

Agree.  The Duke played a huge role in stopping their second half run with his defense and rebounding.

If wusu develops a jump shot, he will be a top player in the big east.

Did just enough to get the win, which is all I need them to do.  Great in conference road win.  3 road wins in a row if I am not mistaken.

What a great win. I think I’m gonna like Posh a lot.

Anderson has to be more prudent with his substitutions. I said it in the game thread but you take that huge punch, get up, take momentum back and then take those guys off the floor? If we would have lost, that would have been reason.

Anyway, let’s keep playing like this, keep Toro off the floor, and get Williams back in.

Interesting that Moore didn't get back in after Marquette went on that run.  Seemed like there was a lot of blame to go around, but clearly CMA saw something he didn't like

Moore jacked up a horrible shot from the top of the key and will was pulled immediately. He started to go back to his early season form, with the perimeter shots. Not his game.

Have another shot of grappa!

The two Marquette games evened out in the end.  Both times, the road team is up double digits at the half, and has to hold on for dear life.

I don't think Marquette would have won two weeks ago, if we were making that comeback with a crowd in the stands, and I certainly don't think we hold on today, if Marquette had a crowd.
