(POST-GAME) @Connecticut, Mon., Jan. 18, 2:30p, FOX / 970 AM WNYM

Mike Anderson says Greg Williams Jr. back has been bothered him of late. "It's been lingering."

I wouldn't have thought it possible to win today, with Williams having to leave early and getting virtually nothing from the jucos. The only thing that equals this would be beating Syracuse.... again.

Some of you guys just love to beat up on Dunn. By far, our best defensive backcourt is Dunn and Posh. They are relentless and frenetic every second on the court. Today Dunn was 3-4 from the floor and 5-6 from the FT line. He had a couple of steals and assists. The 4 TOs weren't good, but no one is perfect. Cut the kid some slack. He comes to play every single game, gives 110% every minute on the court and his positives far outweigh his negatives. And he's a great kid and teammate to boot!

He tries to do too much. Posh should control the ball.  Drive or move the ball. He likes to dominate the ball and more often then not his end of game decisions are not good. Know your role as it might be different from last year.   Nothing against Dunn. He is a great kid and glad he is a Johnny.  Just know your role.

The only thing better than watching or listening to this WIN, would have been to be at the packed Garden and to witness all of these loser PBRers, getting back on their buses and hoping the bathroom on the bus broke down on them. Hated how they took over MSG.

Yes great gritty win.  Love the heart.   Team has definitely played better the last 2 games.  With the upcoming schedule, there are potential wins on the horizon.

Idk what the issue is with Moore but I think he deserves more time from here.  Earlington, Wusu abs Roberts too.   Less of Cole.

Hopefully we can't build in this and repeat last years second half.

Obviously D here has long way to go but these three are tough for sure. Posh & Dylan seem to have nice chemistry w each other;

Wasn’t able to watch the second half today. FS1 is replaying the game from 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM. Might be worth setting the alarm to watch it! Or I could record it. ;-)

Ya know.....as soon as I heard it was his back I wondered if it had been hurting him the last few games.  He seemed to be missing a bounce in his step.  Really unfortunate, because back issues can be chronic.

Not ideal, but I would sit him until he is pain free and then sit him a little longer.

skip the first 8 minutes. Let us aggravate you instead :)

That felt great. We needed that but a road win against those bums is especially sweet.

Posh and Earlington were fantastic. Champagnie was having a nightmare offensively but didn't let it affect his effort on the defensive end which is a good leadership quality. I thought Dunn had some really bad turnovers but played well aside from those moments. Anderson had a good game too! I liked how he really let us attack with multiple smaller guards at once to counter their size and Hurley took the bait and put the bigs on the bench. Wusu continues to impress. Good win.

This may be unpopular, but I am going stick with Cole.  He is definitely not going to be the player we thought we were getting, but I think he can contribute later this year and next.  The kid needs to stop being hesitant and just shoot.  Many times he doesn't think he has enough room to put the shot up, but that's all you get in the big league.  He will get better.

Duke of Earlington" post=413719 said:
What a game by posh and the duke.  Wusu and roberts played big time as well.

I think gwill being out helped us as the rotation was shortened and it let wusu and the duke get into a groove.  Moving forward, coach should shorten the rotation and get some key kids more minutes.

id like to see less moore, dunn and cole and more roberts, duke and wusu.

Cant disagree (except for Dunn as he is tough and a great defender). . .I actually wanted Roberts in the game in place of Cole in 2nd half...Really disappointed in Cole...Today was all about the 2 OSL kids and Earlington...

We shouldn't spend another dime on Juco recruiting. The phrase "Juco All American" means about as much as "Luxury Condo". . .On toughness alone, OSL would have beaten the Juco teams

LJ was pretty tough
there are exceptions of course and he was originally going to New Mexico b4 a coaching change I believe...

I see potential in Cole and Moore and think they have some skills...but with a 2 year window (under normal circumstances) you want to see accelerated development. With Hardy and Brownlees it was apparent that they were 2 of the best players on the team. Only Norm didn't see it.

cant say the same with Cole and Moore yet and we probably should. Talents there but missing toughness right now. Hope they are hav8ng fire lit under them especially Cole.

Cole is not a Big East player, period.
I am not going to quit on Cole. He saved our asses against St. Peter's and Rider.
