(POST GAME) Brown, Tue. Dec. 10, 7p, FS-1, 970 WNYW

We seem to struggle in the second half of a lot of these games against weaker competition. Brown had some good players who got hot so I am not too concerned especially coming off the effort against West Virginia. The Heron injury was terrible. I hope he makes it back but that didn’t look good.

Might take until January but still better than alternative
Prediction. No matter what the injury, Caraher moves into starting lineup and averages 12 per game in Heron absence
And the guys he'll be guarding average 24.

Wow! That's wonderful news if true. Was so afraid kid's senior year was going to be derailed,

Happy to supply the lamp. :)

I think he was referring to his spirit as being good. Because all the media is tweeting Anderson confirmed it's a right ankle injury and tests are scheduled for tomorrow.

With that said, you never know in these situations, I seen Butler's best player a couple weeks ago get hurt and he was lying on the group crying and teammates had to carry him out, and he was back the next game. Hopefully same situation for Heron, this was his best game in a while, he was really starting to find his rhythm.

Sprained ankles hurt and linger
But he will come back this year so better than if was knee. Still going with sprain.

I’m a Physician & don’t want to speculate... but, even if it is a sprain, high ankle sprains take awhile to heal. Great kid! Pray for the best!!

On nice gambling run
Betting on sprain
I hate to say it but I think there’s gonna be a movie made about your St. John’s message board career. After tonight neither our tourney chances or WASJU are dead.

Same was true of Powell for Seton Hall who played exceedingly well the next game against MSU. Praying hard for Heron.

Career change and figured we would stink and didn't want to make any judgements on Anderson until he at least had full recruiting year. Didn't want to bash to look like was in retaliation to all the Mullin bashing.
Don't really need the time though, Anderson best coach we have had here since Louie no matter what happens.

If he is back in three weeks for the Butler game I would be elated. We will know more tomorrow.

Brad Pitt hasn't done sports movie since Moneyball so I think that might work
positivity & prayers tonight.
Additionally, it's 21 days until conference play. With what, only two games during that time? If he's lucky, he won't miss too much in the way of games.

Mechanism of injury definitely didn't look like a high ankle sprain. The game on TV didn't show his ankle when he fell but it looked as if he landed on the other player and suffered an inversion ankle sprain. These injuries are often really painful and warrant the reaction Heron gave, but best news scenario. The only other typical injury in this scenario is an achilles rupture, which can be less painful than the simple sprain but obviously surgery and a 12 month recovery.
