Maybe the B12 commissioner told them to get their act together and to go after Rick. Was told by a coach last night at the CHSAA games at SJU that Pitino makes “so much sense but it’s SJU so you know it won’t happen” and he laughed. He also said that it’s instant credibility, no meetings, no intros. He walks in the gym and every will notice.
His biggest point was that with constant NCAA re-alignment, you want a guy who the other conferences will value.
I don’t know if our fan base understands what this hire could do. We’ve been beaten down for so long
The team certainly didn’t give up today. Lotta struggles but every possession was a battle.Soriano just posted on Twitter that he will not return for his covid year if Anderson is fired. Stoor retweeted Soriano’s post and added 100%. We are St. John’s.
If this happens, I'll put my money where my mouth is. I'll go to a lot of games at MSG, no matter how much the cost.If this happens I am preparing to move back to NYC, get season tickets, sit w Moose, replace my SJ gear after burning previous set, putting “thank you Father S” decals on my seat back, donating to Otis, going back to Church and dragging my son back to Johnny Land.
It's their choice, but they aren't better then rick lol.Soriano just posted on Twitter that he will not return for his covid year if Anderson is fired. Stoor retweeted Soriano’s post and added 100%. We are St. John’s.
when anderson came in there were transfers out. Happens all the time with a new coach. Anderson didnt keep everyone. But if we get a rick or a high caliber coach soriano and storr can easily be replaced through transfer market. Im not concerned. Great year for soriano though. Of course they are also going to say that because anderson is still the coach as of right no. But if no coach keeps van for example there opinion might change. anyways not worried. It's their choice, but they aren't better then rick lol.
Soriano is not easily replaced. If it were that easy, we wouldn’t go decades between big men with great numbers.when anderson came in there were transfers out. Happens all the time with a new coach. I never said I wanted them gone. For a board that hates how the transfer portal has ‘created free agency’ you’re sure ready to show our best player and a talented freshman the door. Ridiculous.
He’s had offers on the table from Power 5 schools for half the seasonSoriano is not easily replaced. If it were that easy, we wouldn’t go decades between big men with great numbers.
NopeJust got back from an internet-free dinner at PF Chang's. Had something called "Chang's Spicy Chicken" a recipe that I'm sure stretches all the way back to Pasadena.
Anyway, what'd I miss? We got ourselves a coach boys or what?
The only reason why I wouldn’t want Pitino would be because if he fails here we would have no hope of ever being a winning program againRealize this: if we do hire Pitino he immediately becomes the greatest coach in the long illustrious history (well save for the last 20 years or so) of St. John’s basketball with a record of 0-0.
