He definitely doesn't need to leave, but a smart guy definitely would never confirm anything like willingness to leave either. Hope he stays . . . unless we have an embarrassing search at some point and need him here to stop the national humiliation.

Thinking that's why coach K was at MSG last Saturday, they remember what a s* show the last search was and Cragg wants to avoid that this time around. Maybe Coach K talks Bray into taking the job, or maybe coach K himself for 2-3 years to get SJU back to respectibility, then maybe a coach in waiting or if coach K gets them in the Tournament for a few years then maybe it would be easier to get a good up and comer.

NM just searched him, didn't know he was 76.

I think there 100 percent was a purpose to having him there other than visiting a friend. Just not sure what it is. Could be something as simple as trying to make us not look like a Mickey Mouse operation by having a huge name take in a game.

Agree completely Knight. This has gone on far too long to think it's not by design. At some point, we as fans have to accept the fact that the school is perfectly fine not with "mediocrity", but with striving for "mediocrity". All that talk about "national championshipS" was pure BS, meant to humor the long suffering fan base, and to illicit/elicit(lol) donations.

No, I didn't mean an up and comer if you mean a coach. I just mean general sentiment. We've looked like complete losers in some games. And I don't think general public could locate us on a map with a gun to their head. Program needs a boost any way we can get it.

*Truly would not shock me if this was some sort of Brey thing like Mug was connecting some dots on, though.
 
So just by appearing he'll give us a boost?

It seems the majority of people on this board is win no matter what. I don't understand why these Pitino supporters aren't all over Chris Beard, I mean he's not a felony either.

By the way, 3 days after Coach K came to our game at MSG, he made his first appearance at a Duke home game this year. Guess who they were playing that day

I'm sure he went to plenty of other games in Cameroon indoor stadium. If this was the only game that he's been to this year then yeah I'd be worried.

I'm no expert, but Brey strikes me as CMA 2.0 at this point. Whether that is good or bad I'll leave to others.
