Remember all the 5 star kids we recruited the past 20 years who came to games and said they were considering SJU, then went elsewhere, Kyle Anderson, Corey Fisher, etc..now with Pitino as HC how many get away? Use us to watch games? Remember Briscoe going to Kentucky last minute? Thise days would be gone!

Hope there is truth to this. Winning happens when you get players, there is no doubt in my mind Pitino would do that. He could lure those 4 to 5 star recruits. Pitino is the only guy that gets this program off life support and thriving again

Sju will be same in the next 20yrs, as the last 20years.
You have a voice alumni, if you're happy with how things been the last 20years then by all means keep on donating. Things wont change but you're happy and that's all that matters.

In one post you speak as if you have inside knowledge and what you say is in fact happening. In another post you speak as if it's just your opinion. Which one is it? Seems as if you're just trying to CYA now because nothing you've said has come to fruition. When this is over, and if Pitino is not hired your iP address should be banned. You do not make an offer to the head coach of freakin’ Loyola Chicago if you are contemplating Pitino.
There are many more mid-major coaches and a million high-major assistant coaches (God forbid) for the admin to offer this job to before all is said and done.

I said Mullin was gone before anyone on here even thought about it! I said a group of us were pushing Pitino and not giving anymore money if he werent hired. I said Mullin needed an extension to hire an Ass coach before anyone did. Things change in such a fluid situation. I also said Pitino was interested way before twitter, or even Pitino himself put out a statement, or any of his tweets. If Pitino had 0 interest in the job, and is busy coaching in Greece would he have injected himself into the debate with any comment? We cannot control Bobby or Oliva or Cragg! I have taken allot of heat on here and been proven right in allot of my statements. My opinions are my opinions, everyone on here has them.

And its people like you that make me question why do I even bother, if most of the alumni are now happy with MAAC level play, then they should get what they deserve. I love going to my UNC games. So why dont I just root for my adopted team and write off SJU like most alumni have done the past 10 years. Thanks for the food for thought

I was calling for Mike Rice after year 2 to be hired as an assistant, followed by any assistant every year after that, we needed to move on from Mullin and have. Pitino would be great. But there's a lot of similarities between what you say and what losers on Twitter spew as facts is my point.

How are Pitino's statements demanding an apology from the SDNY and saying Jackson should be hired any indication that he is planning on coming here though? What are your responses to those statements by Pitino?
