Pace Exhibition

Ooohhh, good one faux counselor. You're most certainly entitled to doubt my past sexual prowess. Kinda like I doubt that you even have 1 degree from SJU, let alone 2. In fact, I suspect you're none other then "Proud alum", who I'm relatively certain, based on his postings, never even graduated high school. That's the great thing about anonymous message boards, you can create whatever persona you'd like.
Monte, the man the myth, the legend. It doesn’t take much of a deep dive into the inter webs to find video evidence of your history of prowess with the fairer sex 😉🤣

Few more thoughts...that just stick out like a sore thumb

- I don't think I've ever seen a team miss 34 of 40 shots ever let alone in one half like St. John's did in the 2nd half today.
- Ejiofor was 1-6 from the floor and a brutal 3-11 from the line. He was great on defense with 7 blocks but he's going to be needed to produce on offense backing up Ledlum and Soriano. Pitino has talked him up all off-season but so far in the two exhibitions he has a lot of developing to do.
- Chris Ledlum probably shot the worst he's ever done since he has touched a basketball...like ever going 2 of 16. Doubt that ever happens again this year.

On the other hand a middle aged man who feels the need to come to a basketball message board to boast about fictional sexual exploits from 30 years ago is the definition of a pathetic loser
I know Monte personally and his exploits are about as fictional as the heat in carnesseca arena during the regular season

He was looking to see what he's got in everyone else. I think he saw enough from Rutgers. I noticed similar with Jenkins today till late in the game
Right but Jenkins still played 21 minutes. 8 just seemed low enough to wonder why play at all?

I was surprised it was that high honestly, It didn't feel like he was out there for 21 at all. Rick subbed him in during the drought in the 2nd half hoping he could right the ship it seemed but alas didn't work

Well the post article was well as disgusting as it can get. Three starters out . Only 9 players played . It's exhibition and it's Rick pitino. If it was any other coach I would be concerned. Would like to know what coach said about this exhibition game

Just back and can clearly say they have listened to "mjm" and increased the AC factor--I was sitting with my jacket on.

Zuby may have some extra FT practice tonight--needed to make a few more and we win which is no big thing to be proud of.

Pace wanted the the ball more than we did when they threw it up for second chance points--they had 11 more bounds. Also after the game they were sky high as they won their "game of the year".

Alley was as advertised and played both ends.

missed Soriano big time.

Spoke with Father Shanley at half time and he knows his basketball as he summed up the first half--the team shot terrible; verry astute!

onward and upward; keep the faith!

I think there is some credibility to losing to Pace as being a set back . How serious isn’t known .

Even if several of the presumed Starters were not available the remaining Players should have had little problem with D2 Pace and their future CPA’s .

I tried to watch the Practice the other Day when ESPN was doing their interviews . I mentioned then , even when Rick was talking that the play on the Court looked very sloppy .

Of course , maybe that practice and today’s performance were not indicative of any concern but , if viewed against the 2 nd half collapse last week Vs Rutgers might give some pause .

I can only speculate that this Team has been going hard at Practice since July . Perhaps the guys are a little tired ? And , a tired player is often susceptible to injury .

I still remain totally confident that Pitino will tune up whatever the weaknesses he perceives exist . He’s too good a Coach not to be able to fix any problem , if one exists ..

BE Coaches pegged up as a 5 th Place finisher and that might be a accurate placement for Rick’s first St John’s team . As long as we make the Dance all is good .

He was off the ball quite a bit, while he was out there.

I think Rick was trying to find an answer for a secondary ballhandler. Unfortunately, I don't think he has that, at least, not amongst the guys who played.

The most notable thing surrounding the team today is that a guy who probably hasn't posted since recruiting was slow shows up for a loss and to hurl lame insults. Luckily we won't see him again until the next loss, something I'm convinced "fans" like him pray for.

I was caught up watching my Jets win a game that set Football back thirty years. Don't know what to make of this game. Glad I didn't see it as I was in attendance for the STAC game.
