Pace Exhibition

More upsetting than the exhibition loss yesterday to Pace, I lost an over/under bet with another fellow poster here that residence trolls Larry Wright and Boo Harvey would reappear after a loss in the Charleston Classic.... wasn't thinking a meaningless exhibition loss to Pace would do it ;)

Having fun because I went to Pace numbnuts

I did not see the game but to me it was just an exhibition. Yes it was a loss to a DII school but for those who have ever played organized basketball know that playing college ball at any level requires so much skill and talent than any ordinary person. Any DII or DIII college player would be shooting the lights out over anyone at your local gym or basketball court. I do not think the talent gap is that wide as some may make it out between D1 and D2. Also I am sure the coach was experimenting some stuff last night. Hopefully the team will learn from this loss and get humbled and not take any opponent lightly. CRP is not a loser and hates losing and I would hate to be in practice today with him.

This loss was a very important lesson to Ledlum, Jenkins and Zuby.
Ledlum's lack of a soft touch and weak offense around the basket were eye-opening.
He's a smart enough guy to learn from his putrid performance.
Janiss needs to take it to the basket when his shot is not falling.
Zuby played good defense but now knows why he was recruited over at Kansas. He needs to relearn the art of free throws by spending twice the time practicing free throws as any other players on the team. Had those three players just played to their natural God given talent, this game would never had been close.
With a completely healthy team, even as just an exhibition, this would have been a 20+ point cake walk.

doesn't Pace also play Our Lady of Perpetual Motion a heady team out of Massachusetts and The College of the Seven Yentas a sleeper out of Connecticut?

St. John's played Incarnate Word a few years back, but I think they are D1

The lesson for Zuby is that he certainly can’t be on the floor in crunch time because of his horrendous foul shooting and could end up playing very little in the big east games.
Teams will use bench players to foul him at any time during the game to put him on the line.
If he can’t improve his foul shooting and I am sure he is practicing it religIously he will get very little playing time. Players who have a major problem shooting fouls tend to do better when practicing but can’t improve in games.

my friend at work was busting my chops all day about the game lol. Then even got my boss in on the action lol. But listening to Pitinos press conference was also refreshing compared to andersons. You could tell he was TICKED off.

let's face it we are no pace but then again Iona was beating UCON the Champs at halftime in the tourny.

Ok i think we hashed over this game long enough gang time to close up this thread lol before the "We should of never fired Anderson" chants get started lol.

Yesterdays upset was almost as big as Amase beating me in fantasy football yesterday. I’d put my fantasy rapid reaction podcast on here but it involved me cursing and Nathalie yelling at me to stop throwing my laptop against the wall
