Orlando Sanchez

He'll be a first round NBA draft pick next year.

His varied skillset is what is going to separate him from other players during the NBA Draft Combine.

Lavin got a true gem.

He has a socket-wrench game.... Capable of doing many things.

Love the way he passes and handles the ball.

Nice! :)

That's great to hear, seriously. Now if he can prove he's a D1 force, the (SJU bball) world will be a little brighter.

That's nice to hear. Maybe he will balance out Dlo

Instead of taking a shot at Harrison, why not give him his shot at redemption, which any of us would want in a similar situation? As far as I'm concerned, the slate is clean, but a repeat of past transgressions cannot be tolerated. I have a strong feeling Harrison is focused on putting all of this behind him, and I think the best of him is yet to come, both in behavior and basketball.

Exactly Beast! Why not assume the best, instead of harping on his past? Too many folks just don't like D'Lo. He paid his dues and stuck it out. Let's hope he stays on track. Not everyone can be a Boy Scout.

Just to add to what Beast and Paultzman posted, let's not overstate Harrison's transgressions. We're not talking about NCAA violations, stolen laptops, weed busts or throwing girls down stairs. It seems he's an intense kid whose lack of emotional discipline was hurting the team. He's older and, we hope, a little more mature. He'll be a big part of our success this year.

Did anyone notice how well Marco and Sanchez meshed on the Court for their JC team?

I'm not ready to give up on Marco just yet, but despite some surprising basketball sense and skills, for him to merit significant playing time, he MUST be a deadeye shooter when wide open. They say he has an abundance of confidence, so this season he must bust out, or prepare to keep a seat warm.

The other problem Marco has, is he now has to compete w Hooper for PT. I think Hooper is the better shooter.

I'm unconcerned. You can never have enough guys on the floor who can nail shots. The odds are far greater that both will not perform to that level than both will. If they both can play we will be a deeper squad.

With no one guarding him that may be he case but as we all know, unless the offense creates effective picks and screens, and wide open shots he may be no more effective then Marco, wheather he is a better shooter or not.

I've never met Dlo, but it has been said that he is very respectful. On court & off court personalities are completely different

I've heard he's a bright kid and a good student. His competitive nature is what gives him problems in games. Why there are problems in practice, I can't figure.

Yeah he was recently named to the Big East Honor Roll.
