Right. I forgot Quinones is now at IMG.
Thanks Paultz.

Let’s hope something comes from us being in Florida and not the same old story of us not closing on any top recruit

Tellin’ ya, we’re gonna close ‘soon’.
Just don’t ask me ‘when’ ‘soon’ is.
But I feel it...in de old bones (along with the arthritis!).

Bet you're right.

Did Matt end up making the trip to Ireland this week? Thought we'd see a great photo op w/ Matt ....like Chris Mack.

Is he back from Ireland ? OLV72 was flying there yesterday and was going to buy him a pint if he saw him for all the extra hard work he ends up doing

Sorry, but it was definitely the arthritis. The less enthused I get on our targets, the less disappointed I am when they go elsewhere. The staff is using a variation of the advice Don Corleone gave Michael. Keep your targets close, but keep those that chose another school even closer. For young men sometimes get disenchanted with the corn fields or horse farms or Tobacco Road. We will hold no ill will, but instead welcome them home with open arms. And I thought W.C. Johnny, who I believe postulated this theory, was way off base. Now, I'm not so sure, and don't even have a problem with this strategy.

It really is not a far-fetched theory if you just lay out the facts:

1. We have one coach recruiting
2. The one coach who recruits specializes in transfers
3. We are targeting guys we don't really have a chance of securing the first go around
4. We aren't even going all out when we make final lists (ex A CM not going to ireland)
5. Proof of concept - Heron
6. Transfer rules continue to be under siege - sit out rule may eventually go away

I honestly think this is the strategy at this point

The staff needs to go all out for Precious, Kofi and Aidan.

I don't think they actually get any of them personally, but every time they work out or have an open gym staff needs to be there. Someone if not multiple members.

Best shot with Kofi I sense. Did not say great shot though. More and more folks close to program lately feel Heron will get waiver. Enjoy that ray of sunshine hopefully

I really wonder what Mullin is thinking about recruiting since he doubled down on the failed approach of 1 recruiter. Other coaches must be laughing as they steal our local recruits. Does anyone else know a college hoops coach who knowingly made such stupid decisions (or non-decisions)? Again, love Mully but he makes zero sense.
