Unless its too late due to the logistics, I could easily see the committee taking us out due to the fact that we now would be playing 5 players (6 mx). With no big guys. A blow-out in waiting. But, if it is too late, too late. Lunardi seemed to imply the announcement so late was designed to be too late.

I'm just glad the oral surgeon gave me hydrocodone for the pain from my wisdom tooth removal. I'm due to take the next one at 4pm so maybe this will get me less pissed for the next couple of hours because I just kicked my coach and think I might have broken a toe

It's also not like Obekpa is widely considered our best player or even one of our best. I know he's our main big guy, but not sure if the committee breaks it down that deeply

He's one of the premier shot blockers in the country. And nothing can wipe that smile off his face! He's a ray of sunshine, once again making the world a brighter place for mankind!

Just play small and use Balamou and Stewart off the bench. If the opponent is big throw in a little Amar and JDR. If we shoot well we can win the first game. If we don't we won't. Having Obekpa would have been a lot better but its not as if he is an offensive threat and he fouls out most games anyway. I am so pissed off at him that I really don't care what he does.

1. They still deserve a bid. Stop with the NIT nonsense. Please. We all know my stance on Lavin but these kids worked hard for this and they deserve to see their names called today.

2. Not fair to Chris to speculate on what the suspension is. Bottom line is he is suspended. It's an embarrassment but knowing the details won't change a thing.

3. When Kenyon Martin broke his leg Cincinnati went from the # 1 overall seed to a 2 seed I think. So our seeding can be effected but I was told that we won't be sent to Dayton as I mentioned as a possibility earlier this week.

If weed is the issue, not sure how I feel about this. Clearly a violation, but one that could have been handled differently. Two weeks at the start of the tournament is a big, big punishment – to CO, but also to his teammates and the fan base – for a violation that would not be that uncommon on campuses across the country.

If it's cutting his classwork? Hell, he's done anyway, so why bother.

If it was a Grady Reynolds type of deal, then I'd understand. Has to be done.

Not fair to CO to leave the question unanswered. Might as well get the truth on the table...

Agree, Paultz. At this point, I just don't care. I'll watch the selection show to see where we end up, but it will be tough to get excited.

Im as frustrated as anyone...but when will we put some blame on these kids? Actually they are MEN. Its ridiculous that we put all the blame on the coach. These are men and they know right from wrong and what rules should be followed. Attitudes, drugs, cheating, fights, and sometimes even worse like sexual assault. Enough!!!, I followed rules in college, and I know damn well, if i was gifted like these MEN, I would be following the team rules too. Enough!! They represent more than themselves, they represent fans, the University, and the City of New York!
Lav is somewhat to blame too, but just like in society, let s cast blame on the people that actually are committing the violations! Enough!!!

Hey man, I totally understand. I took days off from work and had a road trip planned with my brother, cousin and close friend to our first round site. Now, after this news, that trip is off. I'm extremely disappointed. However I try to just take these things in stride and just make the best of it. That's life, out of our control, have to find some way to just be happy
