Obekpa Suspended

This is so disappointing. It is impossible to be a Redmen fan and not suffer constantly. You have a day that is supposed to be celebration, and we have the rug pulled out from under us and get the absolute worse kind of news we could get. I have to think that this is so big, that Lavin had to concur with others at the University.I think this puts a lid on a season that had many amazing highs, but the lows made it almost unbearable. I would say our season is over. Turn out the lights on the way out!
 
Does this all but seal it, that Obekpa is gone after the season?

I think it does. No matter what he did, from his perspective, he probably feels he didn't deserve a suspension. Now especially. I think CO is gone after this season.

Do we even want him back? Two years in a row his selfishness cost his team dearly. I'm done with him, with coach and this program in general.

Shaka would do poorly. It would come out that he likes to drop-kick puppies to relieve stress.

Lunardi just said on tv that SJU should still get n, maybe change a line or so in seeding. But, to me, it really doesn't matter. 1 and done.
 
I find it odd that it was two weeks and not the season. Obviously it is effectively the season. Seems like they actually have a manual that defines length of suspensions for team rules.

I also have to put blame on Lavin. Why is that he can't control the players? I understand that transgressions happen on all teams but he only has six players to watch. I could care less if he resigns because whether its suspensions, ineligible players or transfers there is too much drama with this team.
 
We can't enjoy anything with this program. This was supposed to be the best day this program has had in 4 years. Enjoy it a little? Not so! On and on it goes as a red and white diehard.

I had a pretty good feeling it wouldn't cost us a bid, I mean the bubble is extremely weak this year, and we weren't even close to being on the bubble. So I can't see us being booted altogether. It's also not like Obekpa is widely considered our best player or even one of our best. I know he's our main big guy, but not sure if the committee breaks it down that deeply
