Obekpa and weed

I am ready to forgive Obekpa. I just need to hear him express regret that his actions impacted his teammates and the program. If he has grown from it, I am cool.

Now, if he blames others for the transgression and is jerky about it........later.

Even if he was smoking it for the glaucoma he suffers from?

Does he really? He shouldn't of been suspended then right

Lol... Nah... Im just playin

Let's be honest about Obekpa coming back. So far, the guy has mostly been a stooge. Could you imagine our reaction to him if he was Christian Jones or Myles Stewart, or a similar talent, who smashed an elbow into a guys head, refused to go into a game at a critical juncture, or whose suspension left the team so short handed they had no chance to win an NCAA game.

Our sense of forgiveness has everything to do with 4 blocks and 8 rebounds per game, a legitimate inside presence and whose inclusion on our roster gives us the best chance to win next year. We'd flush him in a second if he didn't have value as a basketball player.

Hopefully along with our selfish mercy, Mullin can teach him a little about being a responsible adult and some life skills along with improving his FT %.

The best thing I am willing to say about this is that there are millions of people around the country responding positively to news of Chris Mullin taking the reigns. I hope one of them who will respond positively is CO, and I think it's a fair bet he will.

Very honest, fair assessment, Beast. Hopefully CO not only responds positively to Mullin, but feels passionate about earning redemption. I guess we'll all find out soon enough.

I'm not entirely sure he wouldn't make the same damn mistake again next season.

No guarantee, but think he deserves another chance on a short leash with a new coach.

Sure give him another chance but if he plays boo him
Give it a break. We root for every one who puts on the red and white!

Give it a break? You mean the guy who messed up the final season for a great group of seniors? Who wanted to bolt last year? He deserves to understand what he has done. He can't turn back the clock on that. The even sadder thing is we could have beaten duke with a full team and look where duke is now.

CO and Sheed haven't made anything official yet right? Besides the Tweets? I haven't seen anything from reporters, coach, etc.

Well... we could not beat Duke at MSG when we had him, so I sincerely doubt we would have beaten them in Charlotte - essentially a home game for Duke - if he was available.

For those of is who watched Duke beat Robert Morris In Charlotte, did anyone think they would make the Final? I didn't.

Back to CO. He needs to mend some fences and act like a leader (he is one of the elder statesmen now). I get the feeling Coach Mullin will not tolerate any antics or attitude. I am still pissed at him for that elbow to Tyler Wideman. He should have been suspended for that garbage as well.

OK, enjoy yourself and dwell in the past. I am looking forward to great things with Mullin and CO!

I may be dreaming a bit, but is:

Rysheed, B Sampson, D Lee, Diallo, Obekpa

better than the starting lineup we had this season?
I'm not sure the starting 5 would be better but we would be deeper next year which could make our team overall better

Deeper ... and higher.

It's definitely in CO's best interest to respond positively. If he has dreams of making it to the NBA, the guy needs to clean up his act and have a drama free season in 2015-'16.

It will be a long time before we see another sir Dominic pointer sho did so much on both ends of the court. He was really outstanding this year and I don't see anyone who could replace him
