I would NOT want CO back... Time to go in new directions, build a new TEAM.. i would offer JORDAN a chance to return but, Mullin will decide that when he meets with the existing players.
Sometimes, you have to realize not to throw good money, after bad.. CO has a history of being a problem, not just this latest incident but, several others. It's Enough..
You are probably right that he is unlikely to change but there are plenty of success stories with guys who needed many chances. Who would have thought our own Ron Artest would have lasted on a Phil Jackson team and not been a troublemaker after al the incidents with Indiana. How did Rasheed Wallace finally wake up in Detroit w Larry brown?
Mullin is going to be a very different coach and disciplinarian than lavin. I have full faith in Mullin deciding whether he deserves a chance AND throwing him off the team if he doesn't follow through.
Good Examples, Kid.. But these reclamation projects were NBA players and not college student/athletes. big difference. IF only because these are multi-million dollar talents and teams have a business interest that often trumps good sense.... Look at the NFL and their bumpkin policy of dealing with Domestic abuse, drug use, drunken driving, etc..
Individual Responsibility and following the Rules, laws, etc should be the prevailing factor in determining who plays and who has forfeited that right.
I would hope no one wants Aaron Hernandez ever playing in the NFL again. Or, Ray " 1 punch" Rice?
You're a lawyer and have probably heard every possible excuse given to justify a wrong doing.. Including blaming the Victims, a common legal strategy..
CO might try this one.."IT wasn't my joint, i was exposed to the 2nd hand smoke of others."
