NY YANKEES - 2021

Son of a gun, I didn't realize they played last night. I thought they had the day off.
It's amazing what a little hot streak will do.  When winning 65% of a season's games is amazing, winning seven is a row just changes your fortunes.

It's going to be fun watching the stretch run. - probably be lots of drama.  They could easily lose 3 in a row, and it'll be 'woe is me' time. But that adds to the drama and entertainment.

 
 
of course any team can lose x in a row. yanks have already lost 5 in row and thrice lost 4 in row and 3 in row.
but barring any more IL stays,
the starters are consistently good and will keep them in most games
the pen is deep and gives me agita, but boone has quick a hook for pitchers having a poor outing and will keep them in most games
the sticks have improved a bit.
the defense is still crappy.
and the twinkies, o's , and texas are on their schedule. 
 
For sure - this is when baseball is fun - every game is critical, when it is a tight race.
They will almost definitely have a 3 game losing streak. That why it is going to make for a fun last 50 games.

bravo to cortes. saves the pen/pitches a fine game.

did cashman getting rizzo light voit's fire?
stanton and gardner showing again, that there is life left in their spats.
the Jesuit jet gets an early walk rbi. charley yelverton is smiling in italy.

Nice moment when Bronx native Velazquez homers in front of his family who got quite emotional.

Although the great September roster expansion is no more, rosters can still be increased to 28 on September 1st.  That will help a bit.

You can make the case that he's been the second best player on the team this year (behind Judge).

Urshela was in the conversation, but he's been out for the last month.
