NY YANKEES - 2021

Eli Fishman is a good follow on Twitter for Yankees minor league talk.  From him.

The Yankees farm system has a 169-89 (.655%) record this season, the best of any organization.

Scranton, Hudson Valley, and Tampa are all in first place in their division. Somerset is one game behind Portland.

game 93.
chad and jeremy. agita then happiness in the 7th.
gettys by gardy, stanton, kraken and florio.
pleasure to watch baby bombers - allen's legs, brantly and florio's bats.
german has been my biggest yankee disappointment.

game 94.
full disclosure. i went to sleep after phillies made out in the ninth.
i was tortured in the phillies 8th inning.
bravo yanks on 10th inning win.
gardy's legs and allen's legs are fun to watch.

Is the tease on again? Team with so many new members showing some life. I've said I'm not going to get reeled in again until they win 10 in a row. Win the next 6 and maybe we get an interesting end to the season. But I highly doubt it.

11th best winning % in the league & 3.5 games out of the playoffs with 68 games to play in what has been an epically down/disappointing season with long stretches of uninspired play and a boatload of major injuries.
Not sure how much more "interesting" the stretch drive can get.

Be nice if the Yankees could field a freaking ground ball cleanly. Two straight mishaps allow the Suks to tie it 1-1 in seventh.

Tyler Wade has now appeared in 217 games over the past five years.  He is fast, has a decent glove, and is remarkably versatile.  That said, his career batting average is .194 with an alarmingly meager OPS of .496 for the season.

Does anyone know why this kid is still on the team?  I can't remember a player getting this much rope.

Now I have to watch 2 straight wild pitches to tie it up again in 10th. This team is infuriating! Loss any minute now.

And there it is helped by a passed ball   Thaaaa Yankeees Suk!

horrible, horrible, horrible loss.
chad and jeremy blew the 9th inning.
some one forgot to tell kreskey that home plate is 60 feet 6 inches away and not 55 feet away.

17 yanks on IL list.

Tease. Tease. Tease. Why are pitchers like Kriske, the wild pitch thrower, and Nelson e en in this league? And with no relievers, why not leave Cessa in to start the 9th after dominating the 8th on 4 pitches!! One guy gets on, and then you bring in Green. Yanks defense once again failed them, including Florial not being in position to make a stronger throw. So that's how many late inning blowups this year?

If Boone wants to go to the playoffs, he may have to go Joe Torre with his bullpen, and pitch some of these guys until they drop.  If not, make a trade to help out this pen.  Can't worry about what you're giving up anymore.                                                                                                                              Speaking of acquisitions, how the heck was Tampa able to acquire Nelson Cruz in a 2-for-2 deal, and not give up one of their top prospects in return?                                                                                                                                                                    Also, I know everyone loves the new style we've been playing, but sacrificing with Odor in the 8th was stupid on so many levels.  Mostly, it handed Ottovino an out, when he hadn't shown he can get one yet.  He probably breathed a sigh of relief after that. Giving away outs almost never works out for road teams anyway, but especially not at Fenway Park, where runs are easy to come by for the home team.  Yanks played for one run, so of course, that's all they got, and it wasn't enough.

Cruz was traded for their 10th and 17th rated prospect.  For a DH over 40 who is hitting very well but a FA after the year I think that is a pretty fair return.

Cashman would have typically overpaid for Cruz. But in all fairness, a righthanded old DH is not what they need.

Cashman has many flaws, but overpaying in trades is not one of them.

Show me three trades in the last 10 years where he gave away the farm for good, not great player.

I mis-stated what I wanted to stay.  I was referring to contracts where he went crazy bidding against himself.

Rumors about Story and Starling Marte.

Story I'm not a big fan of.  Product of ballpark.  Scary splits.  But some chatter Yankees may want him in CF not SS.
