We are so freakin' divided it's incredible.
This weekend I was at a dinner with some of my liberal friends, who based on the recent poll results took delight in needling me about Trump's chances. I was pretty okay with it, so I laughed about it.
A few minutes later I said, can I ask you a question? They were so hesitant to hear it, so I persisted a little bit, and said "What would you think of a person who became wealthy buying tax liens, some for as few as several hundred dollars, and then legally seized the title to homes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and evicted the owner?" In general what would you think of that person? Cautiously they said, "That's horrible". "Lowlife". "Criminal." I said "Ok. Right." So now let me ask you, what would you think of that person if they lived in a $2.5 million mansion, had paid housekeepers, cooks, gardeners, but purported to be someone for the little person in their political life? Because that person is Elizabeth Warren."
Then one friend a few minutes later said, "Here's the difference between what liberals and conservatives believe. Liberals believe that the voting process has been fair, and Conservatives believe there have been voter fraud and irregularities" Before I could say, "But there is evidence of voting fraud. There have been districts in the prior election where 110% of registered voters voted, and areas such as Hempstead where there is a high minority population that reported votes 474-0 for Obama vs. Romney, 337-0 Obama vs. Romney, etc. Then there was the case of the new Black Panthers caught on videotape threatening and chasing away voters from polling places in Philadelphia where the voters looked like they woudnt' be voting a certain way. Then there is Governor Gerry Brown sending people into California State prisons to register voters (because they will vote a certain way. Then there are judges saying illegal immigrants should be able to vote for President because they are residents. Then there are dead people who miraculously voted in the last election." Not surprising, though, as soon as I said "But there is evidence of voting...", the person shrieked at me and stormed away from the table.
It's too bad. I didn't even get around to asking him why accusation that Donald Trump invited a porn star back to his room, got 50 times the airplay of Wikileaks where Hillary Clinton solicited and received $12 million for the Clinton foundation from the King of Morocco in a pay to play deal. Man I didn't even get around to saying in the same few days an accuser came out and told a story that Bill Clinton repeatedly came up behind her and fondled her breasts and dry humped her until orgasm. One could only imagine what play that accusation would have gotten if it were Trump.
So, yep, it looks like liberal American will win their third straight Presidential election. But, be careful what you wish for. As in the children's book, "The Giving Tree", soon the child will have taken everything the tree had to give, and all there will be is a stump for the child to sit. After all, as the story goes, you can only take so much to redistribute to those who only take.
The funniest thing about the entire exchange is that he began by saying "We can't talk to each other any more" referring to people on the opposite ends of the political spectrum.

As the man said, the process (including seismic media bias) is rigged. You can be happy that it's being rigged, but to deny it is just plain ignorant. I get it, though- when your favored candidate is getting the bias, you tend not to care or want to think it's all fair.

The FBI has said it takes 22 FT agents to fully vet a single person. Multiply that by 150,000 and that's 3.1 million agents. Germany has been very humane towards Syrian refugees. Where did it get them? Establishing safe zones in Syria wold be more humane. I wish Liberals would be as humane towards the children slaughtered by abortion, including partial birth abortion, which would be a no brainer, no pun intended.
Hillary keeps mentioning even in a couple of the debates the picture of the wounded 4 yr old boy sitting on a bench in war torn Syria as a reason to allow in refugees. Granted the image and situation is heart rendering but let's not increase the possibility of many similar images of American children as victims of terrorist acts.
the thing is if the Democrats ( Kerry ) can get ecuador to cut off Assange internet I honestly believe whoever has wikidocs on Hillary could end up holding back stuff and make private deals with Hillary not to release them in exchange for God knows what.

Now for those of you who don't flip channels, the worst image in my mind is that eternally-for-women's-rights Hillary Clinton, who defended a child rapist in 1975, and after using tactics against the victim that are illegal today (making the victim the criminal by smearing her reputation by accusing the 12 year old of seeking out older men and fantasizing about them, ) and also had forensic evidence suppressed. In the 1980s she was caught on audiotape laughing about the trial because her client passed a polygraph test, to which on audiotape she is outwardly laughing On the audiotape, Clinton indicated that she believed Taylor, her client, was guilty, saying that his ability to pass a lie detector test 'forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs'.
I guess Hillary would say she was speaking about Abraham Lincoln.

I'm not saying you have to vote for Trump, but how any breathing human can vote for this walking POS is beyond me. Goes way beyond a political ideology.
I think a lot of people are missing the point, Hillary is everything people say she is and should definitely be beatable. However, the Republican chose the one person who can't win to run against her. Instead of hollering and screaming about how bad Hillary is, Republicans should be looking at how their party has become so dysfunctional that Trumps is their candidate. Trump, who dodged the draft, had the audacity to make fun of John McCain being a Prisoner of War.
This dysfunction has been going on since 2008. Senator McCain is a well respected war hero. Instead of finding someone who could help him win the Presidency, he was burdened with Sarah Palin. This was not the Democrats or Obama's doing, this was a very stupid decision made by the Republican Party. McCain and almost anyone else had a better chance of winning.
It is always hard to beat an incumbent, but having Romney at the head of the ticket made it more so. Romney as the CEO of Bain Capital, made money buy buying business, selling off their assets, and as a result a lot of people became unemployed. One thing most Americans have in common is having a family member or friend who lost their job due to circumstances beyond their control. The country was not about to elect someone who boasted about having three 10 million dollar homes, while the majority of the country is struggling.
Here in New York State, you have crooked Democrats getting arrested in New York City and crooked Republicans getting arrested in Long Island and upstate. They call these white collar criminals, so that a politician who is supposed to represent us gets a slap on the risk while voting for laws that say they can keep their pension. You can't make this shit up. The system is broken and we need to hold the politicians accountable.

How about the media start flooding the internet with pictures of inner city children and young adults injured and killed by gang violence and other violence right here in good ole USA? Just as two of our own rising stars were taken by senseless acts of violence in the past few months. And how about Obama and Hillary start referencing those tragedies? How about we worry about taking care of our own young first?

As far as being a public defender, that doesn't entitle you to use despicable tactics that while legal at the time, were never appropriate. Such tactics are now illegal, due largely to the efforts of those who truly defend women. But to top it all off, the sheer evil callousness of laughing at getting a violent criminal off because evidence was messed up and laughing that he could pass a polygraph test when she knew he was guilty is simply despicable.
I believe you know this. A defendant has the right to counsel. That attorney who then attacks a rape victim should have been reprimanded by the bar association.

I totally agree that Republicans need only to blame themselves for allowing so many candidates to run for the nomination in the first place. Had they only manipulated the results the way the DNC conspired to do, they'd be in much better shape today.
In 2008, the fatal error was Palin, who was improperly vetted as an answer to a Hillary Clinton VP (which Clinton didn't want). Palin had close to a 90% approval rating, and is not without faults, but both she and McCain were demonized. Liberals mocked her makeup (but ignore Hillary's multiple plastic surgeries), her expensive dresses (each of Hillary's dresses cost $15,000), and spun her as dumb and white trash (remember Katie Couric pressing her on the journals she read)?
2012 was another story - IMO had Romney become President w Ryan, Medicare would be in better shape, our economy would be in better shape, and Romney correctly identified Russia as our biggest geopolitical foe. (Remember the neophyte Obama mocking Romney and proclaiming 'The 1980's just called. They want their diplomacy back" or something like that.
You see, you are a good guy, but you don't see it. The Democratic Party operatives seek to destroy the character of the opposition party candidate. Romney has tithed since he was a college grad in Michigan and had little (no silver spoon for him). Romney didn't even take a charitable deduction on his family foundation, yet was excoriated for paying less than 15% in federal income tax (all long term capital gains on investments for which he had already paid ordinary income rate for when he worked). Of course Democrats knew this - but they knew the idiots who vote for them wouldn't know that.
So yea, I agree with one point completely - the voting public is stupid and lazy as shit, and those in Washington know this and take advantage of it. So America gets what it deserves - allowing idiots to select their leaders and corrupt leaders to lie and cheat. We are all going to hell.
I think Romney would have been an excellent president. He did great job with Olympics. In hindsight though while Palin did have great approval rating and I supported her when McCain picked her I do think she isn't exactly bright now and cringe when I hear her speak and if she was running for anything I wouldn't vote for her.

Don't even talk to me about it, but I brought it upon myself. If the punt isn't blocked or Catanzaro doesn't doink it I win, or at least tie - can't remember now, but I made a couple of very bad roster moves. It shouldn't have been that close. I have the 2nd most points in the league - despite leaving 35 points on the bench with my stupidity yesterday, and when tonight is over I'll be 2-5. Incredible.
