I’d agree but some of these teams that did get in are an absolute joke and the seedings are even worse. I’d take that asshat Brad Wachtal’s bracket over this and not be as mad.

I would have liked to see this team play more games as they were playing their best ball of the year and I hate that it is over but I get the decision just sucks that the season is over so frustrated but I know Pitino is gonna build an even better team next year and we won’t have to sweat this ncaa bubble Bs

Great opportunity if you have a roster filled with Freshmen and Sophs. A waste of time with a roster jammed with Seniors. Glad we said "no thanks." Looking for Coach to approach the 2024-25 season with a fierce fire.

Normally I’m all for playing extra basketball. I’m bummed Rick quit immediately on the NIT. However, if SHU, Nova, Providence, and St John’s as a bloc said fuck you NCAA, I’d be fine with it.

The more I think about it, I would have liked the team to play. One last audition for kids like Soriano, Dingle, and Jenkins to move up a country internationally, and get Wilcher some extra PT.

Exactly I can’t imagine some of the players in their final year thinking, let’s not play for a title. Even a secondary one.

You’re in the minority here. Not just for SJU but around the country. There is nothing to be 69th best team in the country anymore. Not in free transfer NIL world.

I felt this way before NIL, before free transfers. If you are in a power conference and can’t make the field of 68, then hang it up until next year.

I’m not advocating for the continuation of the NIT but that’s exactly what the 50 extra Bowl games are. Maybe the NIT needs edible mascots to become relevant again?
